Look at all the dinosaurs! Jurassic World teaser gets you primed for a Turkey Day reveal

The trailer for Jurassic World premieres later this week, but Universal Pictures has given fans a sneak peek at the film with a 20-second teaser that offers the first official footage from the film. And yes, it has dinosaurs — lots of ’em.

The full trailer debuts on television this Thursday during one of the Thanksgiving Day football broadcasts, but the new teaser provides a nice taste of what’s to come with shots of the park’s iconic gates, stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, and a herd of dinosaurs running alongside a bubble-shaped tour vehicle. The scenes flash by quickly, though, so it really is just a quick tease.

Set 22 years after the events of the original, 1993 film Jurassic Park, the new movie reportedly explores what could happen when the world’s most amazing park finds itself in need of something new (and presumably deadly) to boost attendance.

Jurassic World hits theaters June 12, 2015, and along with Pratt and Howard, the film also stars Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Judy Greer, Lauren Lapkus, and Andy Buckley.

Chris Pratt has had a very interesting career. His first major role came way back in 2002 when he co-starred in the short-lived WB series Everwood. Pratt played supporting roles in multiple films throughout the early 2000s, including Jennifer's Body, Take Me Home Tonight, The Five-Year Engagement, and What's Your Number. June 2022 movie guide: Jurassic World set to conquer

June 2022 is a big month for Jurassic Park fans. Jurassic World Dominion, the third and final chapter in the Jurassic World trilogy, not only features several actors from the last two movies, including Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, but also sees the return of several key actors from the original Jurassic Park trilogy, including Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern.

However, many other exciting movies are coming to theaters this month as well. From a glossy biopic about one of the greatest musicians of all time (Elvis) to a long-awaited return from a renowned horror filmmaker (Crimes of the Future), this June looks like it has something for everyone. If you're planning to go to movie theaters in the next four weeks, here are some films you should look out for.

Women inherit the Earth in new Jurassic World Dominion video

In the original Jurassic Park, Jeff Goldblum's Ian Malcolm famously says "God creates dinosaurs, God destroys dinosaurs. God creates man, man destroys God. Man creates dinosaurs." But what really makes the scene is the response by Laura Dern's Dr. Ellie Sattler: "Dinosaurs eat man, woman inherits the Earth." That particular line appears to have inspired a new featurette from Universal Pictures' Jurassic World Dominion. At the beginning of the video, Dern talks about the unexpected impact she had as Ellie, simply because she wasn't held back by gender roles. Ellie was both a brilliant scientist and a capable heroine.

The influence of Ellie looms large on her successor, Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), the leading heroine of the Jurassic World films. Howard is almost giddy when she gets to talk about how influential Dern was as Ellie. And the appreciation appears to be mutual from Dern.
