Where to watch Jurassic World Dominion

The Jurassic World trilogy came to its epic conclusion with the third and final film, Jurassic World Dominion. Set four years after the events of Fallen Kingdom, dinosaurs now roam the Earth and struggle to coexist with humans. Owen Grady (Guardians of the Galaxy’s Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Rocketman’s Bryce Dallas Howard) are secretly living with and raising Maisie Lockwood (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’s Isabella Sermon). Mercenaries eventually kidnap Maisie and Beta, the offspring of the Velociraptor known as Blue, forcing Owen and Claire out of hiding as they seek to find their adopted daughter.

Meanwhile, Dr. Alan Grant (Jurassic Park’s Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (Marriage Story’s Laura Dern), and Dr. Ian Malcolm (Independence Day’s Jeff Goldblum) head to Italy to investigate Biosyn, a genetics corporation responsible for decimating crops in the U.S. through the use of genetically engineered locusts. The best horror anime to watch
Alucard pointing his gun in Hellsing Ultimate anime key art.

With anime making great strides in being more mainstream than ever in the west over the last decade or so, several TV series and movies have come out to play with various subgenres. Horror is one of them, and while that subgenre is difficult to execute regardless of the medium or format in question, there have been several noteworthy anime to incorporate it into their respective narratives, worlds, and premises.

Often times horror in anime is complemented by other subgenres, like fantasy, psychological thrillers, and even comedy. The likes of Hellsing Ultimate and Vampire Hunter D stylishly play on the gory vampire-themed angle, while Parasyte: The Maxim is a great example of modern sci-fi horror.

What it’s like to be Jurassic World’s live-action dinosaur wrangler
A Giganotosaurus model looms in the foreground of a scene from Jurassic World Dominion.

Director Colin Trevorrow wrapped up the modern Jurassic World trilogy in dramatic (and familiar) fashion with Jurassic World Dominion, which brought back many of the original characters and dinosaurs from the original Jurassic Park films.

The Dominion team did so with a mix of practical and visual effects, in keeping with the franchise's storied tradition of mixing in-camera movie magic with groundbreaking digital animation techniques. In addition to a visual effects team led by ILM's David Vickery, Dominion relied on John Nolan Studio to create practical, animatronic creatures that added a physical component to the film's menagerie.
