Leaked Samsung Galaxy Note 10 marketing materials show two phone sizes

Samsung is expected to finally unveil the Galaxy Note 10 at Samsung Unpacked on Wednesday, August 7, but the leaks are still flowing. The latest comes in the form of marketing materials for the Galaxy Note 10, and confirm that we’ll see two sizes for the phone, expected to be called the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+.

The leak comes from Droid Life, and gives us a number of details of the two phones. According to the leaks, the smaller Galaxy Note 10 will feature a 6.3-inch display, while the larger device will step things up to 6.8 inches. Both offer a hole-punch camera cutout, and will come with an S Pen included. Notably, Samsung seems to be adding new features to the S Pen, like new air gestures and the ability to remotely switch between camera lenses, which is a handy feature.

The materials also offer details about other features. For example, the materials note that the phones will feature a new “Audio Zoom” microphone, which focuses audio recording to where you’re recording in a video. It seems similar to a feature on offer by the LG V30, but may be a little more refined. Last but not least is a new Superfast Charge, which gives you “hours of juice from minutes of charge time.”

Other specs aren’t noted, but previous leaks have given us a pretty good idea of what to expect. The phones, according to leaks, will offer the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and a hefty 8GB of RAM, which is pretty impressive. In classic Note fashion, there should be plenty of storage on offer too — according to leaks the phones will offer as much as 256GB of storage, which should be plenty for most, especially in an era of streaming and cloud storage.

According to some leaks, there will be other unique features too. Leaker Ice Universe has tweeted that the phone will have a variable aperture that can switch between three different apertures — between f/1.5 and f/2.4. That’s pretty impressive, and should make for a much more versatile camera experience on the Galaxy Note 10. Not only that, but the two phones will reportedly have three main lenses, including a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12-megapixel zoom lens.

Samsung just launched a $400 phone in the U.S., and it looks great
A render of the Samsung Galaxy A35.

A little over a month ago, Samsung announced two new entries in its Galaxy A family — the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35. Both phones made their way to the U.K. and Europe, but we've been left waiting for a U.S. release. Thankfully, that waiting has now come to an end.

As of April 18, the Galaxy A35 is now available for purchase in the U.S. from Samsung.com, Samsung's retail stores, and at "major carriers and retailers." Regardless of where you buy the phone, it's available in your choice of two colors: Awesome Navy and Awesome Lilac. The starting price is a penny shy of $400, putting it well below the Galaxy S24 that launched earlier this year. Interestingly, the Galaxy A55 is not coming to the U.S. at this time.

The smart ring market has been dominated by the Oura Ring so far, but that is about to change with the upcoming launch of the Samsung Galaxy Ring. The ring was teased at Samsung's Unpacked event in January and then again at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February.

The Galaxy Ring is expected to come with various health sensors to help you track your physical fitness and daily activities — all with the backing of Samsung Health. It's one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year, and this is everything we know about it (so far).

I have Samsung’s newest cheap phone, and I’m a bit worried
A person holding the Samsung Galaxy A55.

The Galaxy A55 is Samsung’s newest midrange, affordable smartphone, built as an alternative for those who don’t want to splash out on the Galaxy S24. But that does not mean it doesn’t feel special. Samsung has updated the design in a few subtle ways that make the Galaxy A55 look and feel desirable from the moment you pick it up.

I’m getting ready to give the Galaxy A55 a full review, but in the meantime, here are my very early impressions of Samsung’s latest affordable phone. As I hinted at, it's definitely looking good, but unfortunately, a few concerns are also creeping in — which I hope will quickly disappear.
