Lost Planet spinoff EX Troopers won’t be released outside Japan

Of all Capcom’s contemporary franchises, Lost Planet is probably the weirdest. As I discussed at length in my preview of Lost Planet 3 in July, it’s a franchise in name only, with only the loosest narrative tying its series together. For example, did you know that the slick anime-styled EX Troopers is actually a new Lost Planet game? I bet you thought it was just an awesome-looking multiplayer shooter that will be a welcome addition to your PlayStation Vita or Nintendo 3DS library. It happens to both, but for any of you Lost Planet, Vita, or 3DS fans in the US, it sucks to be you: Capcom’s leaving EX Troopers in Japan.

Capcom USA senior vice-president Christian Svensson delivered the bad news to fans in the official Capcom forums this past weekend. Svensson was already telling fans that Capcom has stopped supporting the Mega Man series in the US because of the myriad sub brands (Mega Man X, Zero, Star Force, etc.) When one user asked why sub-brands blocked a series from release, they pointed to EX Troopers as good example to the contrary.

The saddening response: “EX Troopers isn’t part of the LP series officially (thus the difference in name) nor are there plans to bring it Westward at this time.”

Capcom, you officially no longer make sense at all. Go make another lousy social game, why dontcha.

Soulslike games are known for being immense challenging, and Another Crab's Treasure is no different despite its cutesy vibe. You'll be certain to have quite a lot of challenges to overcome as you fight your way through this underwater world, and you'll want to always be at your best as you do it. As such, you may find yourself wanting to reallocate your skill points at certain times, especially during the first half of the game when you have limited resources for getting new skills. Below, we'll tell you how to respec in Another Crab's Treasure.
How to respec
You won't be able to assign skills or respec them until you've advanced the game to the point where you reach the Moon Snail's Domain. You'll see an option to "Refund Skills" when speaking to the Moon Snail. However, this will cost you a Shark Egg, which is an exceedingly rare item that you can't get until you've progressed a little bit further into the game.

The easiest way to get a Shark Egg is to head over to the Prawn Shop in the lower section of New Carcinia, which is the game's main hub that you'll reach after defeating a few main bosses and moving the story forward a bit. Speak to the owner there to purchase up to two Shark Eggs for 2,000 microplastics each. Beyond the Prawn Shop, these elusive items can be found in a few clam shells throughout the game, and they'll more rarely drop from elite enemies — though the drop rate appears to be very, very low.

Jackbox Naughty Pack is the M-rated party game you’ve been waiting for

There won’t be a new Jackbox Party Pack game this year; instead, we’ll be getting a mature-rated game titled Jackbox Naughty Pack.

Jackbox Games made this announcement during Monday’s ID@Xbox Showcase with a short comedic trailer. Not much is being revealed about this package just yet, but Jackbox Games is confirming that this will be the studio's first M-rated title. It will contain three raunchy games for players to pick between that are “full of spicy surprises and maybe even some familiar faces.” Jackbox Party Pack games typically feature five games, so hopefully, these Jackbox Naughty Pack games have more heft to them to make up for there being fewer of them.
