Like the Energizer bunny, the Logitech G602 is the gaming mouse that keeps going and going

Long battery life and gaming don’t really belong in the same sentence, but Logitech is giving it a shot anyway. The company announced the G602 wireless gaming mouse today, which claims that it can run for “more than 1,400 hours” before needing new batteries, which is around two months of continuous 24/7 use.

The G602 is the latest addition to Logitech’s rebranded G series of gaming peripherals that the company launched back in March with a slew of new keyboards, mice, and headsets. The G602 sports 11 programmable buttons and is rated for 250 hours in full gaming mode, giving you all the power you could possibly need to make it through those long gaming sessions

The mouse also has an endurance mode that dials down the controls and the features for a more low-power state of mouse control. This will give you the previously-mention 1,400 hours of use before you have to change out the two AA batteries that it requires.

The mouse comes with Logitech’s exclusive Delta Zero sensor technology with 2500DPI – certainly not anything close to other top-tier gaming mice on the market, like the Razer Mamba’s 5600DPI. However, it’s certainly hard to beat a 250-hour battery life with a gaming mouse these days, and Logitech had to sacrifice just a bit of performance in order to keep the mouse chugging along for an extended amount time.

The Logitech G602 will begin selling next month for $80. The company will also be launching the new G440 Hard Gaming Mouse Pad for $30, as well as the $20 G240 Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad for high-DPI and low-DPI gaming, respectively.

Recent leaks have showcased the design of an upcoming Logitech handheld gaming device, which is set to be a competitor to popular products, including the Valve Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch.

Industry informant Evan Blass aka @evleaks shared images of the device on Twitter, detailing that the gaming handheld would have a focus on Google Play games, which could suggest Android compatibility. In 2020, Samsung did something a little crazy.
