The regular Aston Martin Vanquish too passe? Try the Neiman Marcus edition

Think you really screwed up this year? Then a Neiman Marcus Aston Martin might be just the Christmas present to smooth things over.

This limited edition Vanquish Volante is being sold by fashion and lifestyle icon Neiman Marcus.

Impressively enough, for a style edition, this Vanquish sports a 100% carbon fiber shell, which is a first for Aston. This lightness is probably just enough to make up for the added weight of the bespoke 4 piece leather luggage set.

Performance comes from the same 6.0-liter V12 that you get in the standard Vanquish, which is good for a top speed of 183 and 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. I just hope that Neiman’s ‘Atlantic Blue’ soft top is up to such high speeds. Otherwise the toupees and stylish coifs of occupants may wind up in the jet stream when the driver decides to stretch the car’s legs.

Another Neiman Marcus feature is the unique Seychelles Blue paint color. It looks great, and nothing says class like the name of an island chain off the coast of Africa that can only be found on rich people’s maps.

Where you really get your money’s worth on the Neiman Marcus edition, though, is the interior, which is covered in fittings even more bespoke than what you get on a standard Aston. Names like ‘Ivory Roekona’ and ‘Aurora Blue’ abound on the description of all of the bits and bobs that will envelop you in the interior.

Maybe the biggest difference is the presence a walnut veneer fascia. Wood has been absent as Aston has tried to update its image, but, still, nothing says luxury like some 100-year-old tree on your dash.

So how much money are you plunking down on this piece of luxurious extravagance? A lot – $344,500 to be exact. That’s over $60,000 more than the standard Aston Martin Vanquish, which was not what you would call affordable to begin with.

Still it will be exclusive, because only ten are being made. So, if you are one of the unfortunate souls that needs one of these things to make up for past transgressions, you should get on it.

Rivian R2 vs R1S: How will Rivian’s cheaper SUV compare?
The front three-quarter view of a 2022 Rivian against a rocky backdrop.

Rivian has finally unveiled the R2, its long-awaited attempt at a more affordable electric SUV. The new vehicle may not be available just yet, but fans of Rivian's design aesthetics and feature set are already looking forward to being able to order the new car. The R2 is targeted at being a more affordable take on the electric SUV and will sit alongside the flagship-tier R1S.

Let's get this out of the way right now: The R1S is most likely going to be a better vehicle than the R2. Rivian isn't replacing the R1S with the R2 — it's releasing the R2 as a more affordable alternative, and there will be some compromises when buying the R2 over the R1S.

Don’t let the gimmicks fool you. The Ioniq 5 N is a serious track car
2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N drifting.

We’re finally getting to the fun part of automakers’ methodical quest to replicate their lineups with electric cars.

Performance versions of ordinary cars have been a staple of the auto industry for decades. But while we’ve already seen some variants of EVs boasting more power and more impressive stats — think Tesla Model S Plaid or Lucid Air Sapphire — the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is the first to truly apply that format to an EV.
