The cars in ‘Gran Turismo 6’ are very pretty, and we have pics to prove it

When Gran Turismo 6 is released worldwide on December 6, it will feature 1200 cars from manufacturers based around the world. While the next-gen consoles have stolen all the love when it comes to graphical fidelity, the Gran Turismo series has long been renowned for its accurate digital vehicle representations. The gravel may not fly off the side of the road quite as realistically as in a next-gen racing game, but the cars still look incredible.

Don’t believe us? Check out the images above. Gran Turismo 6 is a PlayStation 3 exclusive, so all the images are taken from that system.

We’ll have a review of Gran Turismo 6 on Friday, but for now behold the glory of cool looking digital cars.

The best starting cars in Gran Turismo 7
Three American muscle cars line up against a dark background.

You won't be whipping around turns in Corvettes and Lamborghinis early on in Gran Turismo 7. Instead, you're given a limited number of used cars to choose from -- cars your parents probably picked you up from school in. While you're free to upgrade these low-PP cars to give them a little more horsepower, there are several ways to unlock better cars early in Gran Turismo 7. What if we told you there's a way to unlock some of the best cars in the game before you ever touch the World Circuit races?

Now, "the best cars" in a game like Gran Turismo 7 are left up to personal preference. For now, there's no necessary "meta" car to use in World Circuits or online. Furthermore, different races come with certain restrictions, making the "best car" in the European campaign useless in the United States. To get the most out of the early game, players need a set of rides to switch between depending on where they're racing. Here are the best starting cars in Gran Turismo 7 and how to unlock them.

A car's dashboard in Gran Turismo 7

Sony's PlayStation State of Play presentation for February didn't touch on most of the company's hotly anticipated games, like Insomniac's Wolverine title or God of War Ragnarok, and instead focused solely on Gran Turismo 7. It featured 30 minutes of gameplay that showed off the different cars players can use and the automobile museums they can visit when it launches on March 4.

3 Xbox Game Pass games you need to play this weekend (May 3-5)
Senua in Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

Another weekend is upon us, and you're probably looking for some games to kill time with over the course of it. We're in a bit of a lull right now ahead of a flurry of releases starting next week, so it's a great time to dip back into the Xbox Game Pass catalog and check out some games that you may have missed. There are three games in particular that I think you should check out this weekend if you're looking for something to play.

One is an unsettling adventure that's getting an Xbox-exclusive sequel later this month. The next is a finely animated roguelike indie that recently made its way to Microsoft's gaming subscription service. Finally, there's a relaxing adventure that gives players a lot of freedom, yet is short enough to beat in a weekend. If you're having trouble deciding what to play this weekend, give one of these games a shot.
