If you use an iPhone 3G, then you should be aware that Apple might be recalling your USB adapter, since it’s prone to breakage.
The recall only affects America and Japan. Some users have reported the adaptor prongs breaking off in the outlet, creating the possibility of electric shock and creating a safety hazard.
For now Apple is advising users to charge their handsets by connecting the USB cable to a computer. Those who have the two-prong adapter with a green dot on the bottom are safe, however.
As of October 10, users will be able to exchange their adapters for new ones at Apple stores or via the company website.
