Pebble issued a new firmware update to version 2.2 on Wednesday, which adds volume controls and the ability to organize your app menu. The new update vastly improves the ease with which Pebble users can personalize their apps and pump up the volume to their favorite songs.

For those of you who sync your Pebble with an iPhone, you’ll need to download the new app before you can get the firmware 2.2 update. The new iOS app adds iBeacon support, low-energy Bluetooth connections, and adds a ton of new app options to the fold. It’s well worth the download.

One of the coolest things the Pebble firmware 2.2 update offers is definitely the ability to organize your app menu. You can now remove apps that you don’t want from the menu and put the remaining apps in any order you please. Organizing your app menu should make it a lot easier to find the apps you use most often. All you have to do to personalize your Pebble is hold down the Select button while in the Launcher. Once the apps start shaking, you can move them around or delete them.

The update also lets Pebble users control the volume of their music, using the buttons on the side. Pebble users have been asking for volume controls almost since its debut, so this particular feature has been a long time coming. The addition of volume controls goes hand in hand with the redesigned music app Pebble added recently.

The Pebble firmware 2.2 update is currently rolling out to some users already, but it may take a while for it to reach all of the company’s fans. In the meantime, Pebble users can browse through the new apps made available in the latest iOS update.

Someone holding the Honor Magic 6 RSR outside.

There's no doubt that 2024 has already been an exciting year for Android phones. Samsung wowed us with the Galaxy S24 series at the beginning of the year, the OnePlus 12 and 12R are two of the best phones available right now, and Google is expected to impress later this month with the Google Pixel 8a.

But for the last few weeks, I haven't been thinking about any of those phones. Why? Because I've been using the Honor Magic 6 RSR. After launching in China this past March, the Magic 6 RSR is now available in the EU, and that's allowed more folks than ever to get their hands on the phone. And that's great, because the Honor Magic 6 RSR has quickly become my new favorite Android phone of 2024.
