Asus’ Chi 2-in-1s are the thinnest, lightest we’ve seen yet

Do you feel your computing life has become a bit complicated? Would you like to center yourself on a simpler, easier solution? Then perhaps the new Asus Chi detachable 2-in-1s are for you.

The star of the family is the T300. It features a 12.5-inch 1080p IPS display or optional 1440p IPS panel and is powered by Intel Core M processors. Also the largest of the line, this tiny wonder is nonetheless incredibly slim, as it measures only .64 inches thick when docked. It’s also only three pounds when docked, which drops to one and a half pounds without the keyboard. All T300 systems come with a 128GB solid-state drive.

Going down a size we find the T100, which has a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 display. The smaller display also results in a slimmer profile of just one half of an inch docked. Weight drops to 2.3 pounds docked or 1.3 pounds undocked. On the downside, shaving the size means there’s only space inside for an Intel Atom Z3775 quad-core processor. A 32GB solid state drive is standard with a 64GB drive optional.

Still too big? Then perhaps you’d like the T90 Chi instead. This tiny PC has an 8.9-inch 1280 x 800 IPS panel. Strangely the size goes up slightly to six-tenths of an inch docked, but the weight does drop to 1.65 pounds docked or nine tenths of a pound undocked. This model also has an Intel Atom Z3775 processor and comes with either 32GB or 64GB of storage.

All three systems run Windows 8.1 32-bit. Availability is not yet set, so “soon” is unlikely, but we do know pricing. The T300 will be $799 for the 1440p model and $699 for 1080p, the T100 will start at $399 and the T90 will start at $299. All these prices include the keyboard dock.

Start today: Save with Dell and shape a more sustainable future for us all
Dell Sustainable Future for Earth Day featured image

Earth Day may be over, but sustainability and eco-initiatives cannot be relegated to a single day, week, or month. To make any impact in today's hyperconnected and tech-centric world, they must be sustained long-term via thoughtful, engaging actions. For example, e-waste or electronic waste from old, dysfunctional, or discarded electronics is a considerable concern. Every year, millions of electronic devices or products are discarded and thrown away in landfills, many of which have hazardous or harmful materials inside that can poison the ground soil, water sources, and nearby communities. It's essential to not only intelligently dispose of these old devices but also find new ways to reuse and repurpose them so that the materials don't go to waste, let alone harm local communities.

We can all contribute to creating a more responsible, sustainable future by making the right choices, and Dell is making that possible. Thanks to advanced technology offers on PCs and accessories that are meant to help reduce e-waste. Dell has adopted the mantra “repurpose, reuse, and rethink” for a good reason. Many featured products are purposefully built with recycled plastics, shipped in renewable packaging and materials, and ultimately meant to help cut down on society's collective wastefulness so you can save big and feel good about it all.
