Texture provides 160 magazines for your reading pleasure for only $10 per month

Are you fed up with managing all your magazine subscriptions? Or maybe your so fed up with the whole process that you don’t even bother at all. A new service called Texture is likely to make your magazine readying experience a lot more fun.

Next Issue Media just announced Texture. which is a monthly subscription service that gives you unlimited access to over 160 magazines on smartphones and tablets for only $10 per month. Next Issue Media is owned by Condé Nast, Hearst Magazines, KKR, Meredith, News Corp, Rogers Communications, and Time Inc., so it’s safe to say the company knows a thing or two about magazines.

Texture is actually a rebranding of the current app called Next Issue Magazines, which is a similar service, but Texture has a couple of cool new features:

Collections is kind of like a radio station in that Texture’s editorial team assembles content from multiple publications by theme. These themes can include such things as actual events or simple stuff like recipes.

New and Noteworthy keeps you up to date with the news that’s trending.

The Search tool lets you search the entire database of magazines on a particular topic.

My Collections lets you store all the articles that you want for reading later or sharing with your friends.

First Access gives readers access into the hottest stories before they hit newsstands.

On top of all this, you also get access to over 15,000 back issues, which includes 500,000 articles.

The concept of Texture is very similar to the likes of Hulu and Spotify in which you can pay a one-time monthly fee for unlimited access to content.

Texture launches today on iOS, Android, and Windows 8 devices. The press release didn’t make mention of a free trial, but the current Next Issue Magazine app does offer a 30-day trial, so we’re hopeful the new app will offer the same.

Someone holding the Honor Magic 6 RSR outside.

There's no doubt that 2024 has already been an exciting year for Android phones. Samsung wowed us with the Galaxy S24 series at the beginning of the year, the OnePlus 12 and 12R are two of the best phones available right now, and Google is expected to impress later this month with the Google Pixel 8a.

But for the last few weeks, I haven't been thinking about any of those phones. Why? Because I've been using the Honor Magic 6 RSR. After launching in China this past March, the Magic 6 RSR is now available in the EU, and that's allowed more folks than ever to get their hands on the phone. And that's great, because the Honor Magic 6 RSR has quickly become my new favorite Android phone of 2024.
