ZTE took the wraps off of the “bezel-less” Nubia Z11 in June. It’s the sequel to last year’s Z9 and joins the Z11 Mini and Z11 Max, and all of these devices have been available in China for some time.
Back in August, ZTE confirmed with Digital Trends that the Nubia Z11 will be available starting in September in Germany, Spain, and Italy at various online retailers such as the Nubia store, Amazon, eBay, and TopResellerStore. A wider roll out was also reported to be impending in countries including the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Portugal, and Russia, and now, India has become the latest country to enjoy the Z11. As per a new report from The Deccan Chronicle, the Snapdragon 820-boasting Z11 will go for about 25,000 rupees ($371) beginning December 14. Also coming to India is the N1 handset from ZTE, which will go for 17,200 rupees ($255) also on the 14th.
Under the hood, the Z11 includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging. The rear-facing camera is 16MP with optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus, and a f/2.0 aperture. The front-facing camera is 8MP with a f/2.4 aperture and wide-angle lens.
When it comes to storage and RAM, there are a few variations to choose from. One of the versions is 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage, however, if you want to really kick things up a notch you can also get the device with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Of course, if storage is your main concern you can always expand it thanks to the MicroSD card slot.
While the phone has an edge-to-edge display that’s 5.5-inches in size, it unfortunately, has a 1,920 x 1,080-pixel resolution — most devices of this size opt for a Quad HD display.
Of course, design is also important, and this is a very sleek phone indeed. It offers a minimalist look with a small camera sensor and a fingerprint sensor on the back. It obviously takes some design cues from the iPhone, but ultimately looks great, so we’re not complaining (although Apple might). As far as dimensions go, the phone is 7.5mm thick, which is quite thin.
At 299 euros, or roughly $332.89, this is one heck of a value, putting it in a similar pricing category to the Honor 8, OnePlus 3, and ZTE Axon 7. It’s hard to say what the actual U.S. price will be once it finally makes it to the new world, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it debut somewhere in the $300 to $350 range. For now, no exact release dates are known for Europe or the U.S., though hopefully more details aren’t too far off.
The Nubia Z11 has a price tag of 300 euros, which is about $334. The U.S. price may be different when the device launches here. Oh, one more thing — there will also be a limited edition of the phone signed by football star Cristiano Ronaldo. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability for that model, but it’s sure to cost more than the others.
