Kim Kardashian’s butt emoji crashed the App Store

If you’re a Kimye fan obsessed with instant messaging, then Kim Kardashian West just released the app for you. Kimoji follows on the high stiletto heels of the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood mobile game, this time offering users the chance to share Kim-centric emojis with friends.

According to its iOS App Store page, Kimoji — which is available to download now for $1.99 — comes with over 250 emojis, and an integrated QWERTY keyboard that works with iMessage, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp.

Among the sticker packs bursting with Kimojis are Kim’s … shall we say ample posterior, her pregnant profile, a hand taking a selfie, and her crying face — that’s all the bases covered then.

There’s even a shoutout to her hubby Kanye, with an emoji — sorry, Kimoji — of his sought-after sneaker: the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350.

Kardashian West shared her excitement regarding the launch of the app, which she’s clearly using herself, in a series of Instagram posts to her 55 million followers.

The app, which was designed by Whalerock Digital Media (makers of Kylie Jenner’s official app, and Golf Media from Tyler the Creator), had a tumultuous launch. According to reports, the high demand for Kimoji caused technical issues to arise on the App Store, with 9,000 people reportedly downloading it per second at one point. There were subsequent complaints from users regarding glitches on the app, others stated that they could not find it on the App Store. Kardashian West addressed the issues via Twitter.

Whether this is just more hype from the queen of celebrity is unclear. Nonetheless, the app appears set to become another hit for the style icon. The Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game was a runaway success upon its launch last year. In March of this year it was revealed that the app had 28 million downloads and was on track to generate $200 million.
