Considering how lucrative game streaming has become — for professional e-sports players and entertainers alike — it’s no surprise that hardware manufacturers are now tailoring some of their products to those particular groups. If your son, nephew, or extremely lucky friend is looking to start life as a streamer, they could do far worse than the new Aorus X7 DT.

The reason this laptop is particularly good for those looking to share their gaming exploits is because it features an optional AVerMedia M.2 video processing card, which offloads streaming and recording from the CPU.

That can not only open up more performance for the user, but ensures that the stream itself is not interrupted by hardware lag or stuttering in particularly taxing games. It also comes equipped with a Killer LAN chip, ensuring that the stream goes out with as little packet loss as possible.

Otherwise, the Aorus X7 DT has the specifications you’d expect from a high-end notebook. It packs a 17.3 inch IPS display that boasts 1080P resolution. It also supports G-Sync, so it should suffer from zero screen tearing. That display hardware is backed up by a powerful Skylake i7-6820K processor, paired with up to 64GB of 2,133MHz DDR4 — it does matter — and a monster of a GTX 980 GPU, with 8GB of its own GDDR5 memory.

That’s more than enough for VR gaming on the move, too, but it doesn’t stop there. You can overlock the processor at the click of a button, taking it up to 4.0GHz when boosted.

Storage is no slouch either, with options for hard drives and solid-state drives (SSD), as well as up to three M.2 SSDs for those who want almost zero load times in their games.

Of course, if you want all this, you will have to pay for it. The base version of the Aorus X7 DT comes in at $2,800, with a 512GB SSD, 1TB hard drive and 8GB of DDR4.

What to do if your Intel CPU keeps crashing
Pins on Core i9-12900K.

Despite being among the best processors you can buy, some high-end Intel CPUs have faced a wave of instability over the past few months. Intel is investigating the problem, but the company and its motherboard partners have already worked toward some temporary fixes to improve stability on high-end Intel CPUs -- even if it comes at a performance cost.

Before getting into the fixes, keep in mind that they are temporary. Intel will release a statement on the instability soon, likely with more direct guidance on what affected users should do. In addition, the scope of the problem isn't clear -- if you're not experiencing issues, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
