Samsung Galaxy Buds down to just $100 for Cyber Monday

Dan Baker/Digital Trends

Treating yourself to some new earbuds? Amazon wants to make that a cheaper proposition with this Cyber Monday deal for a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds. Usually $130,

they’re down to $99 for the day

, and you’ll get free same-day shipping if you’re a Prime member.

We expected Samsung’s first pair of stringless buds to be good, but the Korean electronics giant knocked it out of the park. We think they’re some of the best true wireless earbuds on the market. Samsung’s history as an audio manufacturer is solid, but its potential skyrocketed with the Harman acquisition in 2017. Tuned by long-time audio experts AKG, the Samsung Galaxy Buds have a soundstage that contends with earbuds that cost much more. It’s especially good once you’ve found the right EQ setting for you, of which there are three.

More than music, the Galaxy Buds are great for calls. Samsung employs a unique two-microphone system that automatically detects your surrounding noise and swaps active mics to help filter out noise. It helps keep wind from entering your voice stream, and can even improve the quality of your calls in louder settings.

For owners of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones running Android, pairing the buds are as simple as opening their case near the phone. Once connected, you’ll find some neat features in the companion app, such as Find My Buds. You can also customize the multi-function button to launch your virtual assistant, toggle ambient sound mode, and change your EQ profiles. Those who own non-Samsung Android phones or iPhones get much of the same functionality, including access to Siri in the latter. You’ll only miss out on automatic pairing.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds boast six hours of battery life on a single charge, which is ideal, but the case only grants seven additional hours. It’s one of the biggest pitfalls keeping them from scoring higher in our review, where Parker Hall once called them the best true wireless earbuds you could buy. As a consolation, charging the case itself is easier with wireless charging contacts, meaning you can just drop it onto a mat — or for Galaxy S10 owners, the back of your phone — to get back to full.

Already a solid value at $130, the Galaxy Buds should be one of your first Cyber Monday considerations if you’ve been looking for some solid true wireless earbuds that won’t break the bank. Well-constructed with water resistance and a sleek build, these should be able to keep up with you no matter your lifestyle.

1More’s $99 ComfoBuds Mini may be the smallest ANC earbuds
Hands seen holding 1More ComfoBuds Mini wireless earbuds.

With the $99 ComfoBuds Mini, 1More has added another product to its ComfoBuds line of wireless earbuds that also includes that ComfoBuds and ComfoBuds Pro. This time, the company is claiming a world's first -- the ComfoBuds Mini are apparently the smallest earbuds you can buy that feature active noise cancellation (ANC). They're available starting March 15 in black and sand colors at 1More's website and various retailers.

When you look at photos of the tiny earbuds nestled in their egg-like oval charging case they're reminiscent of Google Pixel Buds and Pixel Buds A-Series, but the ComfoBuds Mini are considerably smaller and lighter at just 3.7 grams each (the Pixel Buds each weigh 5 grams). Plenty of folks would like to use wireless earbuds, but if you have really small ears, you've probably encountered difficulties getting a comfy and secure fit. These new ComfoBuds might be the answer.
