The award-winning Inscryption is coming to PlayStation with exclusive features

PlayStation and Daniel Mullins, creator of Inscryption, just announced that the horror card-based roguelike is on the way to PlayStation 4 and 5. Not only is the game finally being ported over to the Sony consoles, but it’s coming with PlayStation-exclusive features that aren’t present in the PC version.

Inscryption - Announce Trailer | PS5 & PS4 Games

Inscryption originally was released under publisher Devolver Digital as a PC-exclusive title for Windows on October 19, 2021. MacOS and Linux ports followed in 2022. Now the game is making its console debut on PlayStation.

Mullins describes the game as “an inky black card-based odyssey that’s part deck-building roguelike, part escape-room puzzler, and part psychological horror.” Players must play their way out of a dangerous stranger’s devilish clutches by playing a card game. When the cards aren’t the focus, they’ll be exploring the cabin the game takes place in to solve puzzles and find power-ups to aid in the card antics and eventually escape.

Inscryption‘s PlayStation ports come packed with exclusive features. The port will utilize the DualSense controller’s built-in speaker, playing the Stoat card’s audio through it. It’ll also employ atmospheric lighting via the controller to emulate the look and feel of the cabin. And finally, the Dualshock 5 controller’s haptic feedback appears when using certain items such as the pliers.

This port comes as a part of a mass of seven indie announcements for PlayStation. Other indies spotlighted for the consoles include Cult of LambSea of StarsCursed to Golf, and Signalis.

While there is no specified release date, fans of horror games, card games, and roguelikes can probably expect Inscryption to hit PlayStation consoles before the end of 2022.

Visions of Mana paints a promising picture of the RPG series’ return
Red-haired girl with horns and dragon wing in Visions of Mana

The vibrant settings and character designs in Visions of Mana instantly alerted me that I'd be knee-deep into fantasy, riding on the back of a giant black wolf into the grassy plains of Fallow Steppe. A lush landscape welcomed me as I chatted with my teammates on top of my mount and tussled with little woodland monsters.

I had this experience at this year's PAX East, where I went hands-on with a demo of the upcoming RPG. I never played previous Mana games, but I have enough experience with RPGs and real-time combat to name it one of the most gorgeous, action-packed games I played at the show. The shiny open-world and slick combat I experienced point to a strong comeback for the Mana series coming later this summer.

Elden Ring: How to find and use Rune Arcs
An Elden Ring player sits on their horse and looks out at a castle ahead.

Like everything else developed by FromSoftware, Elden Ring is painfully difficult. It'll take you hundreds of hours to discover everything it has to offer, and unless you're a grizzled veteran, you'll likely hit the "Game Over" screen thousands of times before your journey in the Lands Between comes to an end.

One way to help even the odds is by using Rune Arcs — a consumable item that lets you access Great Runes. You'll first need to unlock Great Runes to start properly using Rune Arcs, but once that's taken care of, you'll notice a big boost in your abilities.

When will Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth be on PC?
final fantasy vii rebirth ending analysis 7 tifa aerith cloud

PlayStation 5 players have been raving about the second part of the FF7 remake project Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. As with the first part, it was made clear well in advance that this game would be a PlayStation exclusive at launch, however, we did eventually get Remake of the first part on PC around a year later. This gives PC players hope that the same treatment will be given to Rebirth, but the big question becomes how long will we have to wait this time? Is it possible to see it come to PC storefronts faster than its prequel, or will we need to bide our time avoiding spoilers for months on end? Here's our best estimate as to when you can expect to see Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC.
What is the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC release date?

The sad fact of the matter is we don't have an official release date for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC or any other platform at this time. But there is reason to at least hope that the wait won't be as long this time around. Our only clue is that the marketing for Rebirth states that it is a PlayStation 5 exclusive until at least May 29, 2024. That's exactly three months after its initial release.
