Nyko Debuts New iPod Speaker Dock

Nyko Technologies last week unveiled a new speaker dock for the Apple iPod. The Speaker Dock 2 for iPod is priced at $99.99 and available now.

The Speaker Dock 2, said Nyko, is an angle adjustable charging cradle which allows iPod owners to listen to their music while recharging the player’s battery at the same time. It features a round base with two built in speakers. Other features include compatibility with a variety of iPods via interchangeable adapters, a line in port so the speakers can be used with other audio devices, a pass through dock connector so the iPod can sync with a computer and power options of an included AC adapter or four AA batteries.

“Nyko is delighted to enter the iPod audio market with such an innovative, multi-functional sound system while keeping the consumers needs in mind,” said Susan Corben Cox, vice president of marketing, Nyko Technologies, in a statement. “The Speaker Dock 2 is a perfect addition to our already successful stable of user-friendly iPod products currently in the channel.”
