Jamie Foxx goes on a Liam Neeson-like rampage in the new ‘Sleepless’ trailer

Oops! We couldn't load this video player
As elevator pitches go, “Jamie Foxx in a Taken-style kick-ass-and-take-names thriller set in Las Vegas” is pretty darn compelling. If you’re wondering what the heck we’re talking about, the first trailer for the upcoming Sleepless hit the interwebs Wednesday, and its leading man spends most of the spot going all Liam Neeson on Sin City’s infamously seedy underworld.

Embedded above, the nearly three-minute long trailer follows Vincent Downs (Foxx), a cop with underworld ties who pursues his kidnapped son through one sleepless and blood-soaked night. The film is a re-imagining of a 2011 French film entitled “Nuit Blanche” (“Sleepless Night”), directed by Paris-born helmer Frédéric Jardin.

While some will certainly write it off as a mindless shoot-em-up-style action flick, there are plenty of reasons to be intrigued by this one. First off, Jamie Foxx seems to be one of those rare Hollywood leading men that never lose their star power and his charisma alone can carry a film. Second, its Swiss director, Baran bo Odar (Who Am I), though little-known in the U.S., is a star overseas. Third, breakout Stranger Things star David Harbour (aka, Jim Hopper/Hop) is on board.

Punctuated by explosions and the click-clack of reloading firearms, Drake’s Energy blares in the background of this trailer and the song’s “I got enemies, got a lot of enemies” refrain seems to sync up perfectly with the plot of the film itself. Unfortunately for the enemies in question, it looks like Foxx is — a la Neeson — always a couple of steps ahead.

Sleepless also stars T.I. (Ant-Man), Gabrielle Union (Bad Boys II), Dermot Mulroney (The Grey), and Michelle Monaghan (Gone Baby Gone, Source Code). The film is set to hit theaters February 24, 2017.

Michigan St. vs. UCLA: How to watch, highlights and results
Aerial view of Pauley Pavilion at UCLA.

The UCLA Bruins (23-1) are undefeated no more. The Bruins lost their first game of the year on Thursday night to their crosstown rival No. 6 USC (22-2). UCLA simply could not stop that phenom, JuJu Watkins. The stellar sophomore scored 38 points with 11 rebounds, five assists, and eight blocks. With that sensational performance, Watkins might have vaulted herself past UCLA's Lauren Betts for College Player of the Year.
UCLA cannot dwell on the loss, as they have a quick turnaround against the No. 22 Michigan State Spartans (19-5). Michigan St. started the season strong with a 17-3 record. However, Sparty is only 2-2 in their last four games, with losses to Oregon and Michigan. Michigan St.'s Grace Vanslooten is coming off a terrific 22-point performance in the Spartans' 91-71 win over the Wisconsin Badgers.
While Michigan St. and UCLA will only play once in the regular season, they could face each other again at the Big Ten championship next month. Here's how to watch the game between Michigan St. and UCLA, including the start time, channel, and streaming information. Is Captain America: Brave New World streaming?
Anthony Mackie poses dramatically as Captain America in a still from the movie "Captain America: Brave New World."

Prior to this weekend, the last time a Captain America movie was in theaters was 2016's Captain America: Civil War. And that was practically an Avengers movie. Captain America: Brave New World essentially resets the franchise with Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson firmly in place as the new Captain America. While the stakes are high, the former Falcon doesn't have an all-star cast of heroes to back him up this time.

Regardless, the box-office projections for Brave New World are promising, with estimates suggesting that the film could bring in $90 million or more across the long Presidents' Day weekend. But as for the question that brought you here, it's time to let you in on the answer.

LSU vs. Texas: How to watch, highlights and results
Flaujae Johnson drives the ball on the court.

Two of the best teams in college basketball square off on Sunday afternoon as the No. 5 LSU Tigers (25-1) head to Austin to play the No. 3 Texas Longhorns (25-2). LSU and Texas are in line to receive a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Both would take one step closer to that accomplishment with a win.
For LSU, it's been as usual. Since Kim Mulkey arrived in 2021, LSU has a record of 116-15. The Tigers famously won the National Championship in 2023, knocking off Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. LSU has the talent to win another title thanks to the tandem of Flau'Jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow. For Texas, Vic Shaffer has turned the Longhorns into a national power since taking over in 2020. Texas reached the Elite Eight last season, but they have what it takes to reach the Final Four, especially thanks to the play of Madison Booker.
This will be the lone regular-season meeting between LSU and Texas. However, these two teams could meet in the SEC tournament next month. Keep reading for information on how to watch the game between LSU and Texas, including the start time, channel, and streaming options. Read our NCAA women's basketball March to the Madness guide for more coverage.
