The movie stars Kelly Marie Tran as Raya, a warrior who has to track down the last surviving dragon in her world in a bid to stop an evil ancient enemy from destroying everything she loves. Featuring a cast including Awkwafina, Daniel Dae Kim, and Alan Tudyk, the movie should be a fantastic hit for all the family. Set in the mystical world of Kumandra, it looks at a time when people and dragons coexisted side-by-side peacefully until the evil Druun arrived and the dragons were forced to sacrifice themselves to save their human friends. The film picks up the story centuries later with the plucky Raya out to save everyone.

As with previous major Disney+ releases like Mulan, Raya and the Last Dragon is available exclusively as part of the streaming service’s Premier Access. Premier Access offers viewers a chance to see movies they’d normally only be able to watch at movie theaters. For just $30 on top of your usual subscription fee, you can watch Raya and the Last Dragon, or you can wait until June 4 to watch it for free as part of your regular Disney+ subscription.

Raya and the Last Dragon already looks to be a groundbreaking animation from Disney with a predominantly Asian-American cast and a soundtrack that features Disney’s first-ever Filipino-language song titled Gabay.

If you haven’t signed up to Disney+, this is the ideal time to go for it. Disney+ offers access to almost all of Disney’s past movies along with dozens of fantastic Disney shorts. It also provides you with access to everything that Marvel and Star Wars have to offer including smash hits like The Mandalorian and WandaVision. Disney+ is just $7 per month or $70 per year, working out as tremendous value for Disney-loving folks. If you’re looking for even better value, you can also grab The Disney Bundle which costs just $13 per month and includes Disney+ along with Hulu (ad-supported) and ESPN+ saving you 25% on the combined subscription prices. Fortunately, Digital Trends has picked four feature films showing how much depth and originality these single-location movies can have.
