Fallout: New Vegas DLC ‘Lonesome Road’ delayed past August

Lonesome Road is meant to be the last DLC release from Obsidian Entertainment for Fallout: New Vegas, bringing a close to a story thread that’s run through each previous DLC release and the main game before them. Unfortunately, it seems that we’re going to be waiting a little longer before the full picture is revealed.

Bethesda Softworks had previously pegged Lonesome Road for an August release, but a new post on the publisher’s forums reveals that those plans have changed. “This isn’t due to any major issue with the code or content, but there are lots of factors involved in releasing these things, and one of those is causing us to slip past our intended release date,” senior producer Jason Bergman writes.

“We don’t have an exact date yet, but we’re working to get it out as quickly as possible. We’ll be announcing the final date, along with a couple of other interesting FNV-related items in the near future.”

In Lonesome Road, the Courier’s journey through the Mojave Wasteland and surrounding regions reaches its climax. I’m not going to drop any spoilers here out of respect for those who haven’t been keeping up, but all signs are pointing toward a significant showdown to capping off what is supposedly the final DLC release for New Vegas.

Bethesda also released the first screen from the upcoming expansion on its blog, which you can see above.

Is Fallout 76 cross-platform?
fallout 76 nuclear winter cancelled cancel

We've all loved exploring the different regions of the wasteland in the Fallout series alone, but it wasn't until Fallout 76 that we had the chance to do so with friends. While it wasn't quite what people were hoping for at launch, years of support have made this an excellent world to explore and go on quests with friends in. While most games released in recent years support cross-platform play between consoles, Fallout 76 came out before that was the standard. If you've got a group of friends playing on different systems, will you still be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the wasteland together? Here's what you need to know.
Is Fallout 76 cross-platform?
Fallout 76 does not support full cross-platform support. The only two platforms that can play on the same servers are Xbox and PC, but only in the case where PC players are accessing the game through Game Pass. If you are on a PlayStation console or bought the game on Steam, you will only be able to play with others on those respective platforms.

Considering how many years it's been since Fallout 76 launched, it is unlikely that cross-platform support will be added at this point. Should we be proven wrong, we will update this guide to reflect that.
