Telltale Games: The Walking Dead Season 2 will use your Season 1 save file

Read our full The Walking Dead: Season 2 review.

Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead has been a massive hit for the company. After years of working on vintage franchises like Sam & Max, cult adventures like Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People, and licensed fan service like Back to the Future, The Walking Dead is the game’s that’s propelled Telltale into the upper echelon of game developers. Myriad game of the year awards, near perfect reviews and 8.5 million episodes sold; it’s no wonder that the studio is already working on the next “season” of the game. Telltale’s only now starting to shed light on what’s next for the series, but one thing’s for sure: It’s working hard on figuring out how to carry players’ progress from one season to the next.

“Right now we are just starting to form the concept for season two,” Telltale CEO Dan Connors told Red Bull in a Friday interview, “This all remains to be seen but we are definitely figuring out how to carry the saves over.”

Those that have finished the first series are likely very curious to discover how their changes are reflected in the new episodes.

If you're ready to get the party started, what better weapon to do it with than the Party Starter? Here's how to finish this dizzying quest.

The best Skill Cards in Dead Island 2
A deck of skill cards.

You may not think a first-person game about bashing zombies with all sorts of melee weapons would be an RPG, but Dead Island 2 is a little deceptive like that. Each of the six playable Slayers has its own base stats, but once you've selected them, there's not much else to worry about in that regard. What will really define your build is the Skill Cards. These act as a mixture of abilities and buffs you can slot into your character, but unlike a traditional skill tree where you simply unlock new skills as you go, cards can be swapped in and out whenever you like. While that's great for versatility, the sheer number of cards can make creating an effective build more intimidating than a swarm of flesh-eaters. Before you take on the horrors of Hell-A, take a look at the best Skill Cards in Dead Island 2.
How to get Skill Cards

Before getting into the deeper aspects of Skill Cards in Dead Island 2, you need to know how to actually get more of these bad boys. You'll start with two Innate Skills for your chosen Slayer, and get your first one when you hit level 2, but the system won't open up to you until you hit level 3.

How to get the Big Shot in Dead Island 2
A closeup of the big shot revolver.

Legendary weapons in Dead Island 2 are among the most powerful tools of destruction you can get your hands on. These come in a variety of types, but there's only one that's a revolver. The Big Shot is aptly named for just how much power this hand cannon is packing. Naturally, any Slayer will want to get their hands on it, but it isn't quite as simple as finding some of the other weapons in the game. Here's how you can become a big shot yourself by getting the Big Shot in Dead Island 2.
