Game bundle supporting Ukraine offers nearly 1,000 products

Anyone looking to pick up some choice indie games or visual novels for cheap can get their fill for what might be a lifetime, all while supporting Ukraine. A new bundle on itch.io that costs just $10 includes nearly 1,000 products, including some pretty notable indie titles.

The itch.io bundle for Ukraine will be available until March 18 and has already raised a whopping $805,000 for the country currently facing violent aggression from Russia. Specifically, any money spent on the bundle is going to the International Medical Corps, which is currently providing medical assistance in the region, and Voices of Children, a Ukrainian organization that gives children the resources needed to recover from PTSD.

Not surprisingly, the bundle includes a decent number of notable indie games that were released over the past decade. By purchasing the bundle for a minimum of $10, customers can get access to Superhot, Skatebird, A Short Hike, Baba is You, Celeste, and Minit. Of course, those aren’t the only indie games on the bundle’s list of nearly 1,000 products, but they’re the most notable ones I’ve spotted so far.

Itch.io’s bundle is the latest way the games industry has poured out support for Ukraine. Other companies in the country and neighboring nations have already begun supporting Ukraine’s armed forces through donations or pleas for financial assistance. Some have instead taken direct actions against Russia, including the company behind Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Group, which is no longer selling products in Russia. Sony and Microsoft have also taken their own actions against Russia, with the latter halting all “new” sales of its products to Russian users.

Valve Index VR headset costs $500, but the full bundle will set you back $1,000

A lot of the kinks in virtual reality hardware and software have been ironed out, and Valve has decided to jump into the front end of the current generation of immersive experiences with the Index VR head-mounted display. The original reveal of the Valve Index included plans to reveal more in May, but we have a price and official release date a bit sooner. The Valve Index will ship June 28 and the complex VR kit with the headset, controllers, and two base stations will cost $1,000.

Individually, you can get the Valve Index VR HMD for $500. The controllers are $280, and you can get them bundled with the Index for $750 to save a few bucks. The Valve Index Base Station’s price is $150 and is compatible with any headset with support for SteamVR 2.0 like the Index and HTC Vive Pro.

Is Manor Lords multiplayer or co-op?

You can easily lose hours designing your village and appeasing your citizens in Manor Lords all by yourself. There are so many different avenues to achieve victory, but the only competition or help you can normally find is in the form of NPCs. Other factions around the map can be helpful or harmful depending on how you play, but what if you wanted to team up with a friend to combine resources, or perhaps compete to see who can crush the other first? Many strategy and city builders thrive on multiplayer components, but does Manor Lords offer those same modes? Make sure you know the answer before making your purchase if that's your intention.
Is there multiplayer or co-op in Manor Lords?
To cut to the chase, the answer is no. Manor Lords is a purely single-player experience through and through. There are no cooperative or competitive modes in the game at all, so there's no way to interact with anyone else either on PC or console. This game was just released out of early access, and there is plenty of content on the way, however, we regret to inform you that multiplayer is not in the plans for the time being.

One developer took to the Steam forums to release an FAQ on the game. One question specifically asked if there is any multiplayer or cooperative gameplay in the game. The response said that "he focus is on a refined single-player experience, with no multiplayer or cooperative modes planned at the moment."
