New Nokia 6101 Goes to T-Mobile

Nokia and cell phone provider T-Mobile today unveiled a new phone for the latter’s portfolio. The Nokia 6101 is priced at $199.99 without a cellular contract. The Nokia 6101 weighs 3.4 ounces and comes in a black and silver folding case which flips open. Features of the Nokia 6101 include an integrated VGA camera to capture video clips and regular digital images, a 1.8” color display, built-in FM stereo with headphones, support for Java games and an integrated speakerphone. "Nokia and T-Mobile have a long history of bringing stylish and innovative products and services to consumers, and our combined efforts to create the Nokia 6101 phone is the latest example of this shared commitment to excellence," said Paul Chellgren, vice president of sales for Nokia. "The Nokia 6101 offers a carefully engineered balance of compact size, classic style and powerful features in a desirable folding design."

As you'll likely recall, the speaker dock is the Pixel Tablet's standout feature. You can use the Pixel Tablet on its own as a traditional Android tablet when you want, and when you're done, you throw it on the dock to transform it into a smart display. The idea of Google selling the Pixel Tablet without its claim to fame is an interesting one.
