Apple, it seems doesn’t have the hottest girls after all. The company has said that the Hottest Girls app won’t be allowed back into the iTunes App Store.
Why? There had been no problem with the application at first. It did what it said on the tin, sending pictures of attractive women to the iPhones of people who’d signed up for it. Then it began sending nude images, and it was game over.
That broke the Apple rule of no pornography.
When the app first went black, the developer blamed a server failure, but it soon emerged that wasn’t the culprit, and on Friday Apple issued a statement that Hottest Girls wouldn’t be allowed back in the App Store:
"Apple will not distribute applications that contain inappropriate content, such as pornography."
"The developer of this application added inappropriate content directly from their server after the application had been approved and distributed and after the developer had subsequently been asked to remove some offensive content."
