Hot on the heels of Friday’s widely publicized rumor regarding Warner Bros.’ slate of upcoming films featuring DC Comics superheroes comes yet another report that has fans buzzing — this time, involving a popular Game Of Thrones actor.

According to HitFixConan the Barbarian and Game Of Thrones actor Jason Momoa has agreed to play the King of Atlantis, Aquaman, in the upcoming Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice and the subsequent Justice League movie. The report — which is entirely unofficial and unconfirmed at this point, so consider it with caution — states that director Zack Snyder has finalized his plans for the character, and also offers up some details about Aquaman’s role in the film that are probably worth a POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING at this point.

“Someone else who’s not particularly happy about what happened in [Man Of Steel] is Aquaman. I’m not sure if that’s the actual name they’ll use or not, but what we’re hearing is that he is not pleased about the World Engine and what it did to the Indian Ocean,” reports the site.

On a slightly lower-profile note, another recent rumor regarding WB’s plans for the DC superheroes (clearly, the rumor mill is spinning fast around this project) suggests that the cast of the Justice League movie will also include veteran team member Martian Manhunter, former Justice League International organizer Max Lord, and alien conqueror Darkseid. Claiming to have a casting agency grid for the film, The Wrap reports that longtime Superman foe Darkseid will be the primary villain in the Justice League movie.

Of course, we can’t stress enough that all of these reports are completely unofficial and may prove entirely off-base as we get closer to each film’s release date. We’ll likely know more at this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego, when Warner Bros. typically makes many of its major announcements regarding upcoming superhero projects.

Keanu Reeves is Batman in DC League of Super-Pets trailer
Ace and Batman in DC League of Super-Pets.

This weekend, movie theaters belonged to The Batman as Robert Pattinson stepped into the title role to make it his own. However, he's not the only Batman in the multiverse, or even the only Batman that will make his debut this year. Ahead of the film, Warner Bros. Pictures premiered a new trailer for the kid-friendly stand-alone animated film DC League of Super-Pets. And in this footage, the Dark Knight was voiced by none other than Keanu Reeves.

Reeves is best known for his leading roles in The Matrix and John Wick films. He might be a little too old to pull off a live-action Batman, but in animation, Reeves gets to embrace the two sides of the Caped Crusader. He's the grim avenger of the night, as well as a softer hero with a heart who can't resist the charms of his new pet, Ace the Bat-Hound.

3 Hulu movies you need to stream this weekend (May 3-5)
The cast of That Thing You Do!

The first weekend in May has arrived, and Hulu fans should be happy to hear that there's a new lineup of movies to enjoy. Like most of the major streamers, Hulu debuts the majority of its library additions on the first of the month. But there will more movies released on Hulu throughout May.

Since the first weekend of May is traditionally timed around the opening of a superhero movie, our first choice this weekend is a comic book film that's celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Our other two picks include Tom Hanks' directorial debut, and a generation-spanning drama that holds up three decades after its release.
