HP quietly introduces the 10 Plus Android tablet, now available for $280

Back in July, alleged images of HP’s future Android tablet lineup leaked. One of the tablets in the leak was the 10 Plus. It looks like the 10 Plus turned out to be a real product, as it’s currently on sale through the company’s own website and Amazon.

The 10 Plus runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and features a Full HD 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution screen. Powering the tablet is an ARM Cortex A7 quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz, which is paired with 2GB of RAM. Pictures taken with the 5-megapixel rear-facing and 2-megapixel front-facing cameras will be saved onto the 16GB of internal storage, though the MicroSD card slot allows for up to 32GB of extra storage. Unfortunately the 7,700mAh Li-ion polymer battery can only give the 10 Plus a meager six hours of battery life.

Interestingly, the availability of the 10 Plus was not accompanied by any sort of formal press release from HP. There was no fanfare around the tablet whatsoever, likely due to the 10 Plus’ meager specifications that are coupled with a $280 asking price.
