Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell and Re-Elected are coming one week earlier!

Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, the standalone spinoff of Saints Row IV, will now arrive on January 20, 2015, a week earlier than originally promised. Gat Out of Hell will be available for download only on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and will also be available bundled with Saints Row IV: Re-Elected. Both Gat and Re-Elected arel also coming to PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One.

Gat Out of Hell casts you as Johnny Gat and Kinzie Kensington in their quest to rescue the President of the United States/leader of the Saints from the underworld city of New Hades. Just as Saints Row IV raised the increasingly ridiculous stakes of the wry, open-world series by introducing aliens and a Matrix-like simulated world, Gat Out of Hell will pump up the supernatural with demons, deceased historical figures, and a gun that shoots swarms of locusts. Needless to say, we’re excited.

Although built on the same engine as Saints Row IV, Gat out of Hell stands alone as a downloadable game for $20 that does not require SRIV to play, unlike typical DLC. It’s similar to the way Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was handled, a standalone game that recast the engine of Far Cry 3 in ’80s sci-fi action neon for one of the most delightful surprises of 2013.

NMCS Texture Pack

Honestly, New Vegas was never a looker. Even upon release, it was a bit behind the times in terms of graphical fidelity, and two generations later, it isn't aging all that well. The NMCS Texture Pack doesn't bring every aspect of the world up to a modern standard, but what it does upgrade is incredibly impressive. This mod completely retextures roads, environments, plants, vehicles, buildings, and more. What it won't change is how the sky, water, clothing, NPCs, weapons, and a handful of other things appear. It also does not work with any DLC. Still, the majority of things you will be seeing get a great visual buff here to help breathe new life into the wasteland.

Xbox Games Showcase coming this summer alongside mysterious game reveal

Microsoft has set the date for its Xbox Games Showcase this June. It's also teasing a Direct that will immediately follow the showcase, but won't say what that's for just yet.

The Xbox Games Showcase will return at 10 a.m. PT on June 9. Like all of its showcases, Microsoft plans to stream this presentation across its YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, although it will also give away tickets to see the show in person via Xbox FanFest. According to the Xbox Wire post announcing the livestream, this is Microsoft's "first Showcase featuring games from our portfolio of studios across Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda, and Xbox Game Studios, in addition to titles from our third-party partners."

Microsoft unveiled the batch of games coming to Xbox Game Pass throughout the first half of May. It's a smaller group of only four games, but all of them are neat additions to Microsoft's subscription service. Here's the full roster of games coming to Xbox Game Pass between May 2 and May 14.
