Michael Fassbender shines in new trailer for Steve Jobs biopic

Just in time for the launch of Apple Music, a new trailer has been released for the anticipated Steve Jobs biopic, written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by Danny Boyle.

While the first trailer was a mere teaser that met some criticism for what seemed to be little more than dramatic shots of Michael Fassbender in a turtle neck and rimless glasses, the latest trailer expands on the original in spades, revealing a taste of the witty dialog for which Sorkin (Newsroom, The West Wing, Social Network) is so famous.

In the two or so minutes of preview, we see much more of the people who surrounded the late CEO and co-founder of Apple. Along with Fassbender as Jobs, the film stars Seth Rogen as Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak, and Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, an original member of the team.

Based on the trailer, Steve Jobs has overcome its early production setbacks and casting changes, and come together as a captivating look at a segment of the tech visionary’s life. Starting in the now-famous garage where Apple was born and ending with 1998’s debut of the iMac, the movie itself takes place over the course of three iconic products. The new preview highlights the complicated genius of Jobs, showing his unique vision, yet also touching on his ability to alienate people, the ups and downs of his career, and his complicated family life. He’s shown pushing his team to the limits, inspiring crowds, and exclaiming that his daughter isn’t his — all as an orchestra soundtrack adds to the intensity.

Sorkin based the screenplay on Walter Isaacson’s 2011 Steve Jobs biography. Jobs’ life has clearly been fascinating to the public over the years, inspiring multiple biographies, articles, and even films. 2013’s JOBS brought the tech innovator’s life to the big screen as well, with Ashton Kutcher playing the title character, though that film was largely panned by critics.

Steve Jobs is set to hit theaters Friday, October 9, 2015.

A WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) is heading to Lyon Metropolis for the first time for WWE Backlash France 2024. Since the formation of TKO in September 2023, WWE has prioritized global expansion. In 2024, Backlash France is the second PLE to be held outside the U.S., and it won't be the last. Five of the next six WWE PLEs will take place outside the U.S.

Heading into Backlash, WWE is entering the "American Nightmare Era." After finishing his story at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes is now the Undisputed WWE Champion. A different era means a new crop of challengers for Rhodes. First up is AJ Styles, a former two-time WWE champion. Rhodes must bring his A-game if he wants to walk out of France as champion.

If you have to watch one Star Wars movie this May the 4th, stream this one
Luke looking off into the binary sunset before dying in The Last Jedi.

Every Star Wars fan has a favorite movie, and many Star Wars fans also hate at least one of the entries in one of their favorite franchises. That can make the exercise of choosing the perfect Star Wars movie to watch on May the 4th difficult. For all of the love this fan base has shown to the franchise over the years, it's also a fan base that has strong opinions about why one movie or another is worthy of your time.

This May 4, though, I'd recommend watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Almost undoubtedly the most controversial entry in the saga, one that makes some people furious and others jump for joy, The Last Jedi is worthy of your attention, whether you like what it's doing or not. Here are three reasons you should check it out:
