Even Tinder can be made more beautiful by Kelly Clarkson’s voice

Kelly Clarkson Sings Tinder Profiles
Kelly Clarkson is married with one kid so far and another on the way, so swiping right on Tinder is probably not her deal. Nonetheless, she was kind enough to lend her Grammy-winning voice to a Jimmy Kimmel Live! segment that set direct quotes from some of the many strange profiles out there to music.

“One of the most popular ways to search for a mate is on Tinder,” explains Kimmel at the beginning of the clip. Cracking wise like only Kimmel can, the host outlined his definition of the service as a way for users to find others in their area and decide if they want to “meet in a public bathroom and make love.” He’s quick to admit that he’s not quite sure how it works, but he does know that it’s romantic. Obviously.

The profiles that Clarkson sings are just as touching as Kimmel’s description of Tinder. “Just looking for someone to take me to a Celine Dion Concert. I’m 5’9″,” starts Clarkson, showing off her powerful voice. It’s a pretty tame start, though. From there, Kimmel’s claim that “some of the profiles, like some of the people, are unusual” is quickly proven to be more and more accurate.

“I have a foot fetish and willing to pay for your mani pedi nails and worship your feet,” goes one. “I love my hairless cat, baking cookies, [and] smoking blunts,” says another. Between Clarkson, an accompanying pianist, and back-up singers, they sound like snippets of real songs — as long as you disregard the lyrics.

Kelly Clarkson and Tinder make for a weirdly wonderful combination. Hopefully she’ll get a Jimmy Kimmel Live! follow-up sometime like Josh Groban did with his singing tweets.
