Running 30 minutes long and hosted by Ajay Fray, Morgan Hoffman, and Teddy Wilson of Innerspace, the show will feature cast, crew, and special guests who will talk about what just happened, and what’s coming next. The show will also feature special segments and behind-the-scenes footage.
Additionally, each episode of After the Black will provide a sneak peek into the next one, as well as additional insight into the making of the series.
AMC has had tremendous success with a similar format through its “Talking” series, hosted by Chris Hardwick, including Talking Dead after The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, Talking Bad (which aired after Breaking Bad), and, most recently, Talking Saul after Better Call Saul. Each show features cast and crew members, as well as other celebrity fans, who give their take on each episode.
Lead actor Tatiana Maslany, who plays several cloned characters on Orphan Black, will appear on the first episode of After the Black, along with Kevin Hanchard (Detective Arthur Bell).
In the new season, Sarah (Maslany) and her clone sisters (all also played by Maslany) will continue to search for answers about their existence. And several new clones will emerge, including the return of seemingly ditzy nail salon employee Krystal.
What happened to Delphine? Why did Beth really jump in front of that train? What kind of new dangers will Sarah be in? And what will happen with Helena (Maslany) and her expected baby? We’ll soon find out, and we’ll get to hear all of our inner commentary played out through this new show that will analyze the story in more depth each week.
The first After the Black episode, produced by Bell Media In-House Productions, will air at 11 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 on BBC, immediately following the season four premiere of Orphan Black, which airs at 10 p.m.
