‘Her’ director Spike Jonze wants to make … video games?

Spike Jonze, the man who birthed films like Being John MalkovichWhere the Wild Things Are, Adaptation, and the upcoming Her into the world, is a fan of video games. More than that, he’s had actual discussions about making one with Her producer Megan Ellison!

This detail came out of a post-screening Q&A session that Jonze attended. Her, the story of a man (Joaquin Phoenix) who falls in love with an artificial intelligence being (voiced by Scarlett Johansson), opens on December 18, 2013, and it features a couple of fictitious video games. This led to a question from an audience member about Jonze’s interest in the medium, and he admitted both that he’s a fan and that he’s chatted with Ellison about making a game (via Badass Digest).

All of which brings us to the question: what the heck would a Spike Jonze-produced video game look like? Would it be this? Or this? Certainly not this … right?

Electronics, Phone, Mobile Phone

GameNative is making it much easier for Android players to commit one of PC gaming’s oldest crimes against storage space. Its v1.1.1 pre-release adds Nexus Mods integration, cutting out much of the file shuffling usually required to get PC game mods running on a phone.

According to GameNative’s official release notes, users can sign in to a Nexus account and download mods through the app. Downloads can be paused and resumed too, so losing your connection shouldn’t force you back to the beginning.
