Dying Light coming sooner than expected

Techland’s parkour-infused zombie survival game, Dying Light, will be coming out on January 27, 2015 in the Americas, January 28 in Australia and New Zealand, and January 30 in Europe and Asia. This slightly rolls back a delay announced earlier in 2014, which had pushed the game to a February 2015 release.

This first-person open world action survival game has you spend the day scavenging for supplies so you can hole up at night and protect your base when the zombies become more aggressive after dark. Techland made a splash in 2011 with another first person zombie survival game, Dead Island. Dying Light will build on that experience with a focus on fluid, free-running movement that should bolster your sense of being immersed in a genuine open world, rather than a prescribed level bound by invisible walls.

Andor season 2 is coming sooner than a lot of Star Wars fans thought

It looks like Lucasfilm may have accidentally revealed the long-awaited premiere date for Andor season 2, and on the Disney+ mobile app, no less. Early Saturday morning, some eagle-eyed users noticed a new date attached to the bottom of the app's Andor streaming tile. The date in question promises that Andor season 2 is coming April 22, 2025.

It isn't just possible but likely that this Disney+ update was made earlier than Lucasfilm planned. Not only was it added to the streaming service's mobile app with no accompanying announcement or comment from Lucasfilm, but Disney is also in the midst of hosting its D23 Brazil convention this weekend. The event has already given fans their first look at Diego Luna's Cassian Andor in Andor season 2, and it's possible that the show's return date was being saved for D23 Brazil as well.

A new Samsung Galaxy Ring may launch sooner than expected

Samsung's Galaxy Ring was first unveiled in July of this year to a lot of applause and fanfare, and it has received quite a bit of praise from reviewers since then. That said, there's still room for improvement — and a supposed leak from Naver user yeux1122 suggests the second iteration of the smart ring could arrive on the market sooner rather than later.

The first Galaxy Ring was initially teased in January and released about six months later. Although we don't know the time frame for a Galaxy Ring 2 release, it will supposedly be "a bit earlier" than expected.

A new Tron game is coming next year, and it’s got Light Cycles

Tron is getting a new video game in 2025, and it will be the first publishing project of Devolver label Big Fan Games. Disney Tron: Catalyst is an isometric action game set in The Grid with an emphasis on narrative, identity disc combat, and light cycling. Digital Trends got a close look at the project in a hands-off demo prior to its reveal, where we learned more details about the project.

Disney Tron: Catalyst is the latest project from Bithell Games, wich previously released the excellent Tron: Identity in 2023. Catalyst is a continuation of that story, but an entirely different kind of game. While Identity was a visual novel detective story, Catalyst is a more traditional action-adventure game with combat that brings Hades to mind.
