Amazon just added 3 of the Kindle Scribe’s biggest missing features

The Amazon Kindle Scribe is an excellent e-book reader and note-taking device, and thanks to an update that went live today, it just got even better. Announced on February 27, the update adds three key features many Scribe owners have been waiting on since the device launched in 2022. The update aims to make using the Scribe seamless, highlighting what makes it more advantageous than using simple pen and paper.

The first key feature that’s debuting on the Scribe with today’s update highlights new brush types. Joining the ranks of the pen and highlighter that have been available for use since the Scribe launched are fountain pen, marker, and pencil options. Each new type of pen has its own specialties and uses, just like the real-world counterparts, and makes the most out of the Scribe’s enhanced pressure and tilt capabilities.

Along with the new pen types, subfolders have also been added to the Scribe. Previously, users weren’t able to create folders within folders to best organize their notes, but now the organization is better and easier than ever before. To help with ease of organization, users can now also move folders in and out of other folders to help keep things straight, which can be done easily through the ever-present three-dot menu.

The final new feature coming with today’s update is simplified page navigation. Now when inside a specific notebook, users can jump to specific pages without having to flip through their entire composition. Like the new folder organization features, this can also be done using the three-dot menu by using the new “go to page” option. While this might seem like a relatively small addition, it’ll help streamline the note-taking process by reducing the time users need to flip through pages just to find the one they’re looking for, which can be time-consuming, especially when working on a large composition.

Hopefully, users are now able to have a much more seamless and customizable time using their Scribe. The update is live today, February 27, so if you’re eager to try out all three new features, make sure to connect your Scribe to the internet so that you can download the update.

Visible just added a new plan, lowered prices, and took away a huge feature
Visible wireless program logo with sponsored tag.

Visible has a significant revamp to its Verizon-backed phone service, adding new features and taking away some at the same time. Up until now, the company prided itself on its singular all-digital plan, but now Visible's single wireless plan has been reworked to cost less and is being offered alongside a brand new option. The two plans now available are called Visible, the reworked original plan, and the all-new Visible Plus.

The Visible plan includes unlimited talk, text, data, and hotspot for just $30 per month — a reduced price from the $40 per month the plan used to cost. The other plan is Visible Plus, which includes 5G Ultra Wideband access, a first for the company's offerings. Visible Plus also includes 50GB of "premium network experience," roaming coverage in North America, and global calls to more than 30 countries outside of the U.S. You get all of that for $45 per month, just $5 more than the cost of the old Visible plan and $10 more compared to the new one.

The latest iOS 16 beta just added back one of my favorite features
Battery percentage on iPhone 12.

The notch on the iPhones changed some things forever. It changed the way the iPhones looked. It changed the way we unlock our phones. But it also removed one of the features that we didn't know we needed until it was gone. We are talking about the battery percentage level, which used to be shown in the iPhone status bar. Well, guess what? It is making a comeback in iOS 16 beta 5.

The latest iOS 16 beta adds the feature of showing battery percentage in the status bar within the battery icon. For reference, the feature has been absent from all the iPhones with Face ID because the presence of the notch didn't give Apple enough space for adding the battery percentage – up until iOS 16 beta 5. To recall, iOS 15 and previous versions used a battery icon to show the battery level. Since iOS 15 is still the current stable version of iOS, most people are using it. And it doesn't clearly display the battery percentage left on your iPhone.
