'Mythbusters' Build Team is back in the first trailer for 'White Rabbit Project'

The sudden departure of the Mythbusters “Build Team” in 2014 from the hit television series was met with no small amount of concern from fans, but it turns out that Kari Byron, Tory Belleci, and Grant Imahara weren’t done with exploring the mysteries of technology, science, and pop culture.

Netflix has released the first trailer for White Rabbit Project, the streaming video service’s new science series featuring the former Mythbusters trio that has them investigating all kinds of scientific and technological oddities and urban legends.

Premiering this month, White Rabbit Project sends Byron, Belleci, and Imahara “down the rabbit hole to investigate weird and wonderful events from pop culture, science, and history.”

“Under their microscope are topics as diverse as jailbreaks, superpower technology, heists, and crazy World War II weapons,” states the official synopsis of the series. “In each episode the hosts immerse themselves in experiments, builds and tests as they sleuth the truth behind these and other well googled themes.”

The series hails from the team at Beyond Productions, producers of the Emmy-nominated Mythbusters, which aired for 15 seasons on Discovery Channel before wrapping up its run earlier this year. The trailer for White Rabbit Project seems to suggest the series will take a bit more lighthearted approach toward investigating various scientific mysteries and pop-culture theories, with episodes devoted to researching jailbreaks, the possibility of superpowers, and various rumors regarding secret World War II weapons, among other topics.

The entire first season of White Rabbit Project will premiere December 9 on Netflix.

5 great Bill Skarsgård movies you should check out
Bill Skarsgård as the Marquis de Gramont standing with his hands in his pockets in John Wick Chapter 4.

Bill Skarsgård is more than just a very handsome face. In fact, he is among his generation's most interesting and arresting performers,  a modern scream king known for his tendency toward playing intriguing and elusive characters in intense and often dark films. This year, Skarsgård is set to dominate with three high-profile releases — Boy Kills World this April, The Crow in August, and Robert Eggers' highly awaited horror film Nosferatu in December.

If the wait is too unbearable for you and you want to see more of the talented actor's work, I suggest you check out the 2022 miniseries Clark, one of Netflix's best miniseries, featuring Skarsgård's best and most charming performance to date. However, if you're more into movies, then be sure to check out these five films where Skarsgård showcases his mesmerizing talent and versatility.
