Xerox Phaser 6130 Cuts the Cost of Color

The days of color laser printers with prices that stretch into the thousands aren’t over, per se, but homes and small businesses now have a selection of more affordable options as well. Xerox added to that market on Monday with the introduction of the Phaser 6130.

Despite selling for $449, the printer manages to keep up with larger models by pumping out 12 pages per minute in color 16 pages per minute in black and white. Resolution for both comes in at 600x600x4 dpi, with 16 shades of color per pixel. Pre-installed toner cartridges cut down on setup time, and front gauges help keep track of how much is left.

On the inside, the Phaser 6130 gets a 333 MHz processor and up to 1GB in expandable memory to handle large jobs. It can also feed odd-shaped media like labels, card stock, business cards and envelopes.

The printer is available immediately in North America, with a $50 instant rebate in effect through December 31 that cuts the final cost to $399. Other regions will get the Phaser 6130 in November.

The Tapo C120 out in the rain.

One of the most compelling features of Tapo products (like the Wire-Free 2K Outdoor Cam and Indoor/Outdoor Cam) is support for local storage. Before you can start using local storage, however, you'll need to format your microSD card. Tapo has some pretty strict requirements for how this works, but the process itself is remarkably simple.

Ready to start saving all your video clips locally? Here's how to format the microSD card on your Tapo security camera.
