How to level up weapons fast in Warzone

In the new version of Call of Duty: Warzone, you’re only as good as the weapon you’re carrying. Much like its predecessor, how well you perform is tied to the attachments on your weapon, which are earned by gaining XP. In this installment, leveling up weapons can feel like a grind, meaning you’ll need to find an effective method to farm XP. Thankfully, there are several useful methods for earning weapon XP, allowing you to earn all attachments quickly.

Here’s how to level up your weapons fast in Warzone.

Complete contracts on Resurgence mode

Likely the fastest method is to complete contracts on the two Resurgence maps, Ashika Island and Vondel. These are smaller-scale maps that allow you to keep respawning, making them ideal for quickly finishing contracts. Ashika Island is technically smaller, but Vondel is more dense, so both work well.

The main goal is to purchase your loadout weapon from a Buy Station before you begin a Scavenger, Safecracker, or Most Wanted contract. Do your best to continuously complete them as safely as possible, without focusing on getting kills. Most Wanted contracts work well since you can keep opening chests to reduce the timer.

Safecracker contracts are similar to Scavengers from the original Warzone, wherein you must visit three locations to collect loot. In this entry, instead of opening chests, you must blow up safes using C4, but the premise remains the same. The nice thing about this method is that it’s usually a safe (pun very much intended) way of gathering XP. Complete as many of these Safecracker contracts as possible to rack up a ton of XP and cash.

Plunder is a much more relaxed game mode that focuses on gathering cash more than surviving. Because of this, it’s easier to complete contracts, especially if you work with a team and use a vehicle. Plus, respawns are enabled and you begin with your loadout weapon, so it’s a great method for newcomers.

Play Shoothouse in Modern Warfare 2

Both of the aforementioned methods require you to be familiar with Warzone 2.0, which can be offputting, especially to newcomers. If you’d like to get a sense of how movement and gunplay work, it’s best to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, as it shares an engine with Warzone 2.0 — specifically, the new Shoothouse playlist, which is a smaller map. This makes it easier to get into a lot of engagements, with the potential to rack up a lot of kills each match. Of course, the more eliminations you earn, the more XP you’ll get. The caveat is that Modern Warfare 2 isn’t free, so if you don’t want to spend money, you’ll want to skip this method.

Play DMZ

Finally, you can jump into DMZ to earn weapon XP in an efficient way by taking out AI and completing mission objectives. This isn’t the fastest way to earn XP, but it can be more consistent than playing battle royale, especially if you’re a new player. Dipping your toes in DMZ is an effective way to learn the ropes, and the XP you earn is enough to warrant giving this mode a try. Just be sure you don’t lose the weapon you’re attempting to level up.

How to play as Nicki Minaj in Call of Duty
Nicki Minaj shooting an assault rifle in Call of Duty.

After Fortnite unleashed a flood of crossovers into the gaming world, there's almost nothing that's off the table anymore. Call of Duty getting a Nicki Minaj operator, for example, would likely never have happened 10 years ago, and yet here we are. The rapper/singer is often called the Queen of Rap, but she's expanded her talents to dolphin-diving and no-scoping noobs on the battlefield. If you want to strut your stuff as Minaj in your next match, complete with her own set of pink weapons and vehicle skin, there are a few bits of information you need to know before loading up your next game.
Can you play as Nicki Minaj in Call of Duty?
Nicki Minaj was introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone on August 24, 2023, as part of Season 5 alongside Snoop Dogg and 21 Savage. They were all purchasable in the in-game store for 2,400 CoD Points. Minaj's bundle was titled the Tracer Pack and included her skin, blueprints for her battle rifle and shotgun, a finishing move, vehicle skin, weapon charm, loading screen, emblem, and sticker.

Unfortunately, the Tracer Pack bundle was completely removed from the store as of around six months ago. There's no firm reason as to why her skin was removed or if the developers intend to bring her back. While it is possible her skin will be put back into the shop, it is too hard to say if or when that will ever happen due to the unclear nature of why it was removed in the first place.

How to fast travel in V Rising
A vampire roams a town at night in V Rising.

One of the key features of vampires, at least in their original depiction, is their ability to take the form of a bat to quickly traverse the night. In V Rising, you technically can shapeshift but it won't make a big impact on your ability to travel. You have all the normal weaknesses of the mythical creature, such as aversion to sunlight and the need to suck blood in order to survive, but you must stick to normal methods of transportation most of the time. Getting on a horse certainly speeds up your traversal, but the map is quite large and sometimes you just want to get from one side to the other quickly.

Fast travel appears in V Rising in two different ways: Waygates and Cave Passages. Both of these have their own benefits, drawbacks, and ways to unlock them. However, as you grow in power, you will need to visit the far-reaching areas of the world much faster and much more often, making fast travel invaluable. Here's how both methods of fast travel work in V Rising and where you can find them.

Melinoë can use this big boiling pot of green liquid to bring new features into the game, whether it be between runs or during them, in exchange for various materials like Silver. You will only start out with a few Incantations, but doing more runs and getting further toward your goal of killing Chronos will gradually unlock more to create. There are far more than you might expect for an early access game. Here are all the Incantations and their recipes.
Every Incantation, effect, and recipe
The order in which you unlock Incantations in the menu can vary based on what you do and how you progress in Hades 2, so this list is in no particular order.
