How to choose PC cooling on Cyber Monday

The biggest decision you’ll need to make is between air cooling and liquid cooling. Admittedly, the topic is complex (read the previously linked guide for all of the details) but to sum it up in brief — AIO liquid cooling is easier once installed (but the installation can be trickier) while fans are more durable in the long-term and simpler to install. You should also note that while liquid cooling sounds, well, cooler it isn’t necessarily the best decision. Our Jacob Roach, a long-time adherent to AIO liquid coolers, recently penned a piece about his return to air coolers. In other words, spend more time finding out what is right for your PC this year, and less time focusing on a specific price point.

Of course, improving your PC cooling is a complex job in and of itself, with so many working parts to deal with. For example, and this might surprise you, upgrading your GPU (consider one of these Cyber Monday GPU deals) is one way to go about it.

How we chose these Cyber Monday PC cooling deals

We started looking at our reviews — what we like, and what we don’t like. We then head out and find the best deals on these items, so we’re purposefully curating, instead of filling the list with products that just happen to be discounted. We think a smaller, more definitive list is better than a list of a thousand products.

We also include things we haven’t reviewed where it makes sense, doing our research to make sure it’s a quality product. We’re looking at reviews from subject matter experts and on the shopping platforms themselves, and comparing the product to the alternatives. If we think it all checks out, it makes the cut.

Also keep in mind that all prices were accurate at the time of publishing. While we’re checking back and updating this post with the latest deals and prices, we can’t ignore the fact that deals move fast on Cyber Monday, and it’s possible that an offer may have expired between when you click and when we last hit update.

This website is a goldmine if you love Mac menu bar apps
Discover hundreds of menu bar apps, from tiny utilities to powerful productivity tools, all in one place.
MacMenuBar website open on Mac

The menu bar is the most underrated part of macOS. It sits quietly at the top of your screen, and most people never do anything with it other than checking the time and battery percentage. But if you find the right apps, that thin strip becomes the fastest way to get things done on your Mac.

The problem is finding those apps. The Mac App Store is not great at surfacing them, and hunting through random blog lists is a chore. And while I have shared my favorite Mac utilities that include menu bar apps like Supercharge and CleanShot X, there’s an even better place to find the best apps for your Mac’s menu bar.
