One of the most popular communication devices to date has to be T-Mobile?s Sidekick II. This little gem that is produced by Danger Inc. allows users to access the web, send IMs, talk to people on the phone, and a whole lot more. Furthermore, its status has been elevated by multiple celebrities such as Paris Hilton who swear by the device as a means of escape and constant communication. T-Mobile is getting ready to release the Sidekick 3 in the next few months and we have tons of insider information for you. The next device will be manufactured by Sharp instead of Danger Inc. and will feature plenty of upgrades in addition to a sleeker look.

The new T-Mobile Sidekick 3 is scheduled to hit stores July 10th and this has been confirmed by our source. Of course products can run into manufacturing delays and other errors so the date could ultimately be pushed back if everything doesn?t go according to plan.

Between the re-designed casing and sleek looks, the Sidekick 3 will feature many improvements over its predecessor the Sidekick II. These include but aren?t limited to:

  • A removable battery
  • Additional storage via a miniSD card slot. A card will be included with the product.
  • USB Cable and syncing
  • A hands free stereo headset
  • A better designed carrying case
  • Improved 1.3megapixel camera
  • Bluetooth 1.2
  • An improved display (65k color SXVGA)

We?re very surprised that T-Mobile decided to not include Bluetooth 2.0 or Wi-Fi with the Sidekick 3. The Sidekick 3 also features a trackball on the right-hand side of the device for more advanced browsing capabilities. A huge improvement over the Sidekick II?s track wheel. Keep an eye out on July 10th for the Sidekick 3 from T-Mobile. The price point still hasn?t been announced but expect to pay between $200 and $400 depending on your contract upgrade.
