Nine months after rolling out its job search app for iOS users, LinkedIn has decided it wants to help Android users take a step up the career ladder. The social network for professionals says its built the new app from the ground up, which possibly goes some way to explaining why it’s taken so long.

LinkedIn Job Search lets job hunters find new positions by title, keyword, and location. You can also pull up recommended jobs based on saved searches, positions you’ve already viewed, and, of course, your LinkedIn profile.

Whatever your reason for looking for a new gig, LinkedIn hopes to help you find it more quickly by pushing job alerts to your device when positions likely to be of interest show up. Just hope they don’t come through when you’re in a meeting with your current boss. Speaking of privacy, LinkedIn says you’re all set, promising “your network won’t hear a thing about your employment-seeking activity.”

And when you do find something that suits, you can apply through the app itself.

Described by LinkedIn’s Daniel Ayele as a “one-stop shop for Android users’ job seeking needs,” the new app will use 14MB of space on your device and needs Android 4.1 and up to run.

The Honor Magic 6 RSR is my new favorite Android phone of 2024
Someone holding the Honor Magic 6 RSR outside.

There's no doubt that 2024 has already been an exciting year for Android phones. Samsung wowed us with the Galaxy S24 series at the beginning of the year, the OnePlus 12 and 12R are two of the best phones available right now, and Google is expected to impress later this month with the Google Pixel 8a.

But for the last few weeks, I haven't been thinking about any of those phones. Why? Because I've been using the Honor Magic 6 RSR. After launching in China this past March, the Magic 6 RSR is now available in the EU, and that's allowed more folks than ever to get their hands on the phone. And that's great, because the Honor Magic 6 RSR has quickly become my new favorite Android phone of 2024.
