Launching with both Android Pay and Apple Pay integrated into the app, Subway’s new mobile app gives customers the ability to place food and drink orders for pickup at their local Subway store. As noted within today’s press release, Subway also plans on adding in the ability to pay for your order in advance of arriving at the store using a PayPal account. The PayPal integration within the app is expected to launch before the end of the year.

In addition to the app, customers can place an order at order.subway.com within any Web browser. The PayPal integration is expected to use PayPal’s One Touch software, thus customers can avoid having to re-enter in their payment details or recall usernames / passwords when checking out.

subway-order-appSpeaking about the mobile application, Subway Chief Information Officer Carman Wenkoff said “As part of our continued commitment to improve, we knew that offering online and mobile tools to our busy customers was critical to ensuring they cannot only eat fresh; but fast. We are excited to launch our new ordering platforms and will continue to look for new ways to improve the Subway experience.”

On the site, the customer enters in their zip code to find all locations in the area, chooses a store that’s open and starts picking out items for their order. According to the site, all orders will be available within 15 minutes of the order confirmation. In addition, the maximum order that can be placed online is six sandwiches. There’s also an option for catering orders, however those have to be placed at least 24 hours before pickup.

Similar to placing an order at the store, the interface on the Web and within the mobile app walks the customer through standard sandwich options which include choice of bread, cheese, premium extras, veggies, sauces and seasonings. The app also includes the nutritional information for each item as well as allergen information for anyone possibly allergic to certain types of foods.

The Honor Magic 6 RSR is my new favorite Android phone of 2024
Someone holding the Honor Magic 6 RSR outside.

There's no doubt that 2024 has already been an exciting year for Android phones. Samsung wowed us with the Galaxy S24 series at the beginning of the year, the OnePlus 12 and 12R are two of the best phones available right now, and Google is expected to impress later this month with the Google Pixel 8a.

But for the last few weeks, I haven't been thinking about any of those phones. Why? Because I've been using the Honor Magic 6 RSR. After launching in China this past March, the Magic 6 RSR is now available in the EU, and that's allowed more folks than ever to get their hands on the phone. And that's great, because the Honor Magic 6 RSR has quickly become my new favorite Android phone of 2024.
