What’s one way to know video podcasts have gone mainstream? When Playboy announces plans to do their own. The company known for its centerfolds today said they would begin offering their own daily downloadable “Playboy Bodcast†on their website.
The “Playboy Bodcastâ€, the adult publishing company said, would draw from Playboy.com’s online video features, including jokes of the day delivered by a Playboy model, off beat commentary from Mr. Playboy himself Hugh Hefner and video advice from Playboy’s Cyber Girls.
“Playboy.com continues to extend its online consumer base by embracing emerging technologies and creating products that reach people when they want it, how they want it and on the device they want it,” said John D. Thomas, editor of Playboy.com. “We’ve seen an overwhelming response to several features we created for consumers to view on different devices such as the Apple iPod and Sony PlayStation Portable. The success of those features demonstrates that our fans are clearly interested in viewing fun, sexy Playboy features on these kinds of portable players.”
