JBL OnBeat Xtreme – $430

The JBL OnBeat Xtreme is your one-stop option for the best all-around iPod speaker dock. The sound quality is fantastic, whether your device is docked or streamed over Bluetooth, and the speaker is solidly built to stand the test of time. The addition of a ⅛-inch auxiliary input makes it compatible with pretty much anything that has an analog audio output, and the built-in microphone allows you to take calls while playing your favorite tunes.
