Amazon slashes $20 off Black Ops, discounts all Call of Duty games

It may be Valentine’s Day, but there’s no reason you can’t show your console a little love. For today only, all Call of Duty versions for all consoles are on sale at Amazon. Every recent title in the franchise, from Black Ops to World at War,  is 20-50 percent off. Better, newer releases like Black Ops are discounted the most. Call of Duty: Black Ops (PS3, XBX, PC) is priced $39.99, a good $20 cheaper than its regular $59.99 price. The PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2 is also $20 off (Xbox 360 version is $10 off).

The Call of Duty franchise has become a staple of first-person shooter gaming in recent years, especially in the console space. Activision Blizzard’s last two iterations, Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, have each well-exceeded $1 billion in global sales, eclipsing most Hollywood movies and other forms of entertainment. Black Ops was even the most-played Xbox Live game of 2010. In fact, the game has been so popular that the CEO of Activision said playing Black Ops rivals activities like Facebook and texting. Will Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 be on Xbox Game Pass?

Activision Blizzard, which is now owned by Microsoft, has just confirmed that the next Call of Duty game is titled Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. There's been one major point of contention ahead of this year's Call of Duty: Will it be on Xbox Game Pass at launch? A new report from The Wall Street Journal suggests that is the case.

Historically, Microsoft has added all its first-party games from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda to Game Pass the day they launched. That applies to big AAA releases like Starfield, as well as more experimental titles like 2022's Pentiment and Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, which came out this week. Microsoft's public messaging thus far has teased that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will come to the Xbox Game Pass. That said, Microsoft has not officially confirmed it, so there have been conflicting reports on this actually being the case.

Activision finally confirmed that the new game it has been teasing is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and that we'll learn a lot more about it very soon.

Hype around the next Call of Duty game began to swell earlier this week when a site called was discovered by Call of Duty fans. After fans were able to deduce that this was a teaser for a new Call of Duty game, Activision released a teaser trailer combining all the clips from the site on the game's actual website. It was ultimately about a group of people vandalizing Mount Rushmore with the message "The Truth Lies."

The truth lies, according to videos that have appeared on a website called and that seem to be teasers for the next Call of Duty game, the rumored Black Ops 6.

The teasers were spotted by Call of Duty enthusiast website Charlie Intel. There's a whole setup on the website, with an interactive old-school TV set with volume and channel buttons, as well ones for power and pause. There's also a record function that lets you save the videos to your device.
