Ratchet & Clank: All For One demo beta key giveaway! (Updated: The keys have all been claimed!)

Now that work on Resistance 3 is complete, Insomniac Games can turn its attention to its other baby, the Ratchet & Clank franchise. Often lauded as one of the best platforming series ever made, and among the best PS3 exclusive titles, Ratchet & Clank return later this year with a new game, Ratchet & Clank: All For One.

But if you can’t wait until the game is released on October 18, then you are in luck. And terribly impatient. For the first 25 people that post a comment below, we will send you a key that will give you access to the closed beta demo of the game. Insomniac’s Senior Community Manager, James Stevenson explained what to expect with the demo via the PlayStation blog.

The first scenario is the opening level of Luminopolis where Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark and the evil Dr. Nefarious are forced to band together when Nefarious’s light-eating Z’Grute is unleashed upon the city. The second area of the beta jumps you deeper into the action with The Vertigus Cliffs, set in the N.E.S.T. area of the treacherous Planet Magnus is a unique area full of vertical views that look stunning in 3D. The Vertigus Cliff level will also give you a chance to check out some mechanics from later in the game, including use of your weapon wheel and many of the crazy Ratchet & Clank weapons you’ve come to know and love. New Weapons like the Frost Cannon, Plasma Bomb Launcher and Warmonger give you a great assortment of guns to play with, but old favorites like the Combuster are back as well. There are LOTS of weapons in the beta, as well as character’s special ability.

Right now the demo is only accessible by invitation. Those that were at the Insomniac Community Day, or who won a contest may already have their codes, but for everyone else here’s your chance to win.

Massive Final Fantasy XIV 7.2 update brings players a bunch of new content

Final Fantasy XIV patch 7.2.

Final Fantasy XIV has been in content drought territory lately, with players taking the opportunity to level alt jobs and painstakingly create elaborate portraits for each one -- but all of that is about to change with patch 7.2. After a 24-hour maintenance period on the 24th, the patch will launch on March 25.

For hard content players, the Savage version of the new Arcadion: Cruiserweight Division tier will release seven days after the initial patch, giving you one week to prep your gear. Naoki Yoshida and Toshi Murouchi showed off the first fight of the new tier in a Live Letter stream today, revealing a disco-dancing male Viera named “Dancing Green” as the boss.

Game Pass serves many functions as a service. Some use it to play the best Xbox Series X games on release, others lean on it between games, and everything in between. One of our favorite ways to take advantage of the massive Game Pass catalog is in preparation for upcoming Xbox Series X games. Whether it be playing previous games in a series to get caught up, or games in a similar genre to get in the mood, Game Pass has what you're looking for. All the best Assassin's Creed games are on Game Pass, but we feel Odyssey is the best of them since transitioning into RPGs. Historically, this is the earliest game in the timeline, though that doesn't matter much since there are only loose threads connecting the games at this point. What does matter is how vast and enjoyable a world this is to explore. It isn't quite as bloated as Valhalla and will get you back into the groove of parkouring, stealthing, and fighting all over again. The story here is also one of the best in the series if you have the time to go all the way with it. But even just dabbling in it so you don't get burned out before Shadows is a great way to prepare yourself.

The best stealth games on PS5

A majority of the best PS5 games have adopted at least one or two elements from stealth games. We have been crouching in bushes in FPS games and quietly assassinating targets in open-world games for years now, and we expect to do a lot more of it in some upcoming PS5 games. Sadly, pure stealth games have become something of a rarity in the modern era. If you're not paying attention, it might seem like the best stealth games of all time are all in the past, but the PS5 has plenty of fantastic stealth experiences hiding in the shadows. We're about to sound the alarm on all the best stealth games you can play on the PS5.
