Extended Walmart Cyber Week Deals: Last Chance to Save on TVs, consoles, & more
Walmart Cyber Monday .

The 2019 Walmart Black Friday weekend blowout sale ended with a bang a week ago, but America's number one big-box retailer wasted no time in throwing its weight behind Cyber Monday with a bunch of new deals as Christmas looms closer. And after the Black Friday dust settles and the warring Black Friday hordes have dispersed without leaving behind too many unnecessary casualties, Cyber Monday and Cyber Week are the best opportunities of the remaining holiday shopping season to find last-minute bargains right from the comfort of your couch before Santa starts loading up his sleigh.

During the big sales we've seen in 2019 so far, Walmart ran many of its biggest rollbacks on pricey electronics like 4K smart TVs, wireless headphones, desktop computers, gaming laptops, and video game consoles (primarily the PS4 and Xbox One, but Walmart has also had many of the best Nintendo Switch bundles). And while Cyber Week has wrapped up, the holiday shopping season is still going strong for a couple more weeks and now may be your last chance to snatch up those must-have gifts at deep discounts before they're gone. The good news is that we've smoked out the best remaining Cyber Monday and Cyber Week deals right here:

Researchers have found a way to extend Wi-Fi ranges by almost 200 feet
Linksys WRT3200 ACM router review

New research indicates that the signal range of your favorite smart home devices can be boosted, and you might not have to install new hardware to do it either. According to a press release published on Tuesday, October 22, researchers at Brigham Young University have recently developed a new protocol that can boost the Wi-Fi signal range for IoT devices, which in turn may allow such devices to be installed further away from a given Wi-Fi access point. The new protocol is expected to let IoT devices be installed more than 60 meters (or nearly 200 feet) away from an access point, without the addition of new hardware.
Normally, Wi-Fi requires at least one megabit per second (1 Mbps) to maintain a signal. But this newly developed protocol, known as On/Off Noise Power Communication (ONPC), is apparently able to maintain a signal with just one bit per second. And it turns out that one bit per second is just enough to allow many Wi-Fi-enabled devices “that simply need an on/off message” to function. The press release mentioned a few examples of such devices: garage door sensors, sprinkler systems, or air quality monitors.
