Verizon now lets you mix and match on Fios

Most people know Verizon as having one of the biggest cellular networks in the country, but this service provider also offers some excellent home TV and internet packages. In fact, Verizon has been one of the industry leaders when it comes to high-speed fiber optic technology, with its 100% fiber-optic network. The advantages of fiber optic services like Fios are many, but to enjoy them, you were generally required to sign up for a package that often had you paying for things you didn’t want or need — until recently, that is, with Verizon now letting customers mix and match services to build their personalized Fios plan.

Verizon has historically offered its Fios bundles in various tiers, letting customers pay more or less depending on the services and network speeds they wanted. The problem with this traditional approach is that a consumer can often end up getting stuck paying for something they don’t really care about — a big TV streaming package, for example, when all they really wanted was faster internet and maybe a few premium channels.

For the first time, however, Verizon is letting its customers mix and match Fios services so you can build a Fios plan that gives you what you want. You can pick the internet and TV services that meet your preferences and pay for what you want with no surprises.

If super-fast and nearly lag-free TV and movie streaming is also something you’re after, then along with high-speed fiber-optic internet, Verizon Fios packages also feature a TV plan that offers more than 425 channels (including premium ones like HBO, Showtime, and Starz). With this TV plan, you can pick what sort of entertainment you want to pay for, such as action, sports, Spanish-language, and international programming, among others. With Fios TV One, you can also stream multiple set-up boxes with Wi-Fi-capable TV in your home, and you get the Fios TV remote which features voice controls and Netflix integration. And with the Fios TV app, you can even access your entertainment library from any compatible mobile device.

Verizon Fios fiber-optic home internet packages start at just $39.99* per month TV plans start at $50 per month, with no annual contracts. As a nice bonus, Verizon is also offering new customers one year of the Disney+ streaming service — ($6.99 per month after that). Those who opt for the top of the line Fios internet and TV plans can also get up to $200 in Visa Prepaid Cards.

As more and more of us are increasingly (and even exclusively) relying on streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime for our home entertainment needs, it’s not hard to see the value in upgrading to Verizon Fios. Fiber-optic network connectivity allows for virtually seamless and lag-free enjoyment of high-bandwidth activities such as HD video streaming and online gaming, and if you have multiple people in your household using your home network, a lightning-speed service such as Fios will also ensure that your online activities remain smooth and practically uninterrupted even while multiple people are using the internet at the same time.

One final note: Fiber optic services like Fios can be limited to certain geographic locations. Availability will depend on whether or not you live in a current service area, but you can check and see whether or not Fios is available near you right here.
