Kodak Announces New Digital Cameras

Kodak today rolled out three new EasyShare digital cameras across several product families. This new models promise “compact design, simplicity and outstanding image quality”.

In Kodak’s C-series, the C643 ($249 – April release) and C553 ($199 – June release) were introduced. Kodak said the C643 sports 6.1-megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom lens and 5x digital zoom, a 2.4” LCD color display, 30 fps video (VGA) with audio capture, and a variety of on-camera picture-enhancing features. The more entry level C553 offers features such as 5.0-megapixel resolution, 3X optical zoom lens and 5X digital zoom, 1.8” indoor/outdoor color display and on-camera cropping. Both can run off of AA batteries.

Kodak’s other new EasyShare digital camera which joins their V-series is the V603 (black or silver for $299 – April release). This small, stylish camera has a 6-megapixel resolution and features a Schneider-Kreuznach C-Varigon 3X optical zoom lens, a 2.5” high-resolution display, in-camera picture enhancing features and 30 fps video capture.
