The holiday season, one of the more expensive times of the year for many of us, is in full swing. Thankfully, many retailers offer a ton of sales, allowing you to get more bang for your buck. While gaming is among the most popular gift categories, Nintendo has a history of avoiding discounting its products during the holiday season. Luckily, third-party sellers like Amazon are offering some sweet deals, including this Nintendo Switch bundle that includes a $30 Amazon promotional credit .

For $300, consumers can purchase the updated version of the Nintendo Switch, a unique hybrid console that is both a handheld and console system, along with a pair of Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy-Cons, all in one neat package. And, if you enter the promotional code D3E2CDJ6GB6S at checkout, you will obtain a $30 (digital) Amazon promotional credit that will be added to your account a few days after you purchase the system. This credit can be used toward the purchase of a new Nintendo Switch game, or you can use that credit to purchase a digital code for Nintendo’s digital distribution store, the Nintendo eShop.

When initially released nearly three years ago, the Nintendo Switch received a positive reception from both critics and fans, although the original model was criticized due to the weak battery life while playing in handheld mode. The new Nintendo Switch model corrects this problem by increasing battery life.

If you are interested in picking up a few games for your Nintendo Switch, you’re in luck. Several of the Switch’s most popular titles are currently on sale, including Pokemon Sword/Shield for $48 and Fire Emblem: Three Houses for $50.

Amazon is not the only retailer offering a Nintendo Switch deal right now. Best Buy’s Nintendo Switch deal includes the new Nintendo Switch model, along with a free copy of Starlink: Battle for Atlas, plus a $30 Best Buy gift card. Walmart also has a few Switch deals currently available, including a Nintendo Switch bundle that comes with a carrying case, plus a $20 Nintendo eShop gift card. Or, if you are looking to purchase a Nintendo Switch Lite instead, Walmart has a promotion that allows you to snag both the gaming system, plus a $10 carrying case for $200.

Artificial intelligence is often blamed for making people less social. Whether it's AI replacing conversations, reducing teamwork, or making gaming feel less human, the narrative has largely remained the same. But a new study suggests the opposite could also be true. In fact, AI might be quietly encouraging people to spend more time with their friends.

Researchers studying PUBG: Battlegrounds have found that introducing AI-controlled opponents into multiplayer matches didn't isolate players. Instead, it made them more confident, kept them playing longer, and even encouraged them to squad up with friends more often. The findings, which will appear in the journal Information Systems Research, offer an interesting perspective on how AI can improve user experiences rather than simply automating them.
