Best Prime Day Amazon Deals
This story is part of the Digital Trends Prime Day 2026 coverage

Update 10/8/24: We were able to find multiple deals on all of the major Samsung Galaxy Watch offerings — the 7, the Ultra, and older-but-still-great-6 — with the 6 quite honestly getting slashed to pieces here. Remember, the 6 has a better battery life than the 7, so it has other advantages, too, and there’s no better time to throw one in your cart than today.

If you’re looking to upgrade your tech, there’s no better time than Prime Big Deal Days deals. The event takes place on October 8 and 9, giving you access to deals on things throughout Amazon‘s site. What’s better than this two-day sale event? It also pushes Amazon’s competitors to crank up their deals efforts, too. (We’re seeing great Best Buy Big Deal Days deals at this time and don’t want you to miss them.)

With multiple retailers slashing their prices, it makes now one of the most opportune times to pick up a Samsung Galaxy Watch, get one of the best Samsung Galaxy Watch bands, and be set at a discounted price. We expect most people are going to be drawn to the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra or Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, both released recently, but we’ll make sure to cover any good deals on older models too. Read on to find the offer you’re looking for, or check out these Big Deal Days Garmin Watch deals for some good alternative offers.

How to choose a Samsung Galaxy Watch on Prime Day

Do you want something completely new or something new to you that’s still fresh out of a box but has an older model number? That’s one of the first things you’ll need to consider.

If you want something really recent and top-of-the-line, you’ll need to compare the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra vs the Galaxy Watch 7. They’re actually fairly similar devices, with the Ultra’s most notable differences being a better battery life and its additional “Quick Button” for easier navigation. The Ultra also has better water resistance, but it’s not exactly a dive watch. There are little quirks here and there, but the products shouldn’t feel too dissimilar if you end up getting the Galaxy Watch 7 over the Ultra because the deal price was just too hard to pass up.

You might also consider getting a previous model of one of the flagships. For example, when we compare the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 6, we find that most things about the Galaxy Watch 7 are at least somewhat better, but the 6 still has its charms and actually has a better overall battery life. To quote our comparison of the two models directly, “the Galaxy Watch 7 technically wins this showdown. After all, it’s the newer model, has a faster processor, and has some new features. But to be brutally honest, none of that is really that exciting.” In other words, it is totally okay to go with the older model this time.

How we chose these Samsung Galaxy Watch Prime Day deals

There are essentially two kinds of deals roundups for Prime Day events. The first, like these Best Buy Prime Day TV deals, looks at broad swathes of the market. For these, we look and compare prices, check reviews, and use our vast experience in the deals writing space to determine what to present and what to ignore.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Prime Day deals are not like that, however. There are only so many models to choose from. Instead, like our coverage of Prime Day AirPods deals, we evaluated the available models, searched for the best deals (on Amazon and elsewhere), and found the best to deliver to you. To help you make a choice in these circumstances, we try to put the prices in context and clearly show the proper value of the device.

Apple’s smartwatches will look the same for at least another year, or two
Apple's Series 12 and Ultra 4 are reportedly skipping a redesign this year, leaving chip upgrades and health tracking to carry the entire generation.
Apple Watch Series 11 on home screen.

For the last few years, every single Apple Watch has looked identical to the last. The Apple Watch Series 11 shared its dimensions and looks with the Watch 10, and the Watch 10 with the Watch 9. Turns out that streak might not break in 2026 either.

So what's actually changing this year?

Apple’s smart glasses are running late because they don’t want to stir a privacy storm
Apple is taking extra time to make sure its smart glasses do not inherit Meta’s creepy reputation
Meta Glasses

Apple could unveil its first smart glasses at WWDC in June 2027, followed by a consumer release toward the end of the year, according to Bloomberg. The device, internally codenamed N50, had reportedly been scheduled for an introduction in late 2026 and a launch in early 2027.

Part of the delay reportedly stems from Apple’s engineering and marketing teams spending more time refining the product and deciding how to address the privacy concerns that come with putting cameras on someone’s face. Privacy is said to be the top priority for the teams working on the glasses.
