Marvel and Netflix have revealed the official logo for the upcoming Daredevil series that will debut on the streaming video network as the first of several original series that will unfold in Marvel’s live-action universe. The companies also announced that the full cast of the series will make their debut together at this year’s New York Comic Con.

The logo for the Netflix series will certainly look a little familiar to comic fans, as it appears to borrow heavily from the branding on the character’s modern comic-book series.

Anyone looking for a sneak peek at the series will want to hit NYCC on Saturday, when much of the cast of the series — including star Charlie Cox (who plays Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) — will attend a signing event that afternoon at the Marvel Booth. Marvel will be giving out posters featuring production concept art from the series, signed by acclaimed artist (and Marvel CCO) Joe Quesada during the event.

Executive produced by showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus), Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods), and Jeph Loeb (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Daredevil follows the adventures of blind attorney Matt Murdock, who battles in the courtroom by day and fights criminals at night as a costumed vigilante in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. Goddard wrote the first two episodes of the series, which is expected to premiere in May 2015.

Along with Daredevil, Marvel has announced three additional series based on the characters Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, with the four projects leading into a Defenders team-up series. Casting or production schedules for any of the series beyond Daredevil haven’t been announced at this point.
